  2. Hi everyone, Finally I got some good news, I got my card today, it's been a long journey and I still have the citizenship to go. Well, I got my interview on October 6, the funny thing is that the Inmigration officer who interview me and my husband luckily was the same one who had interview us for the adjustment of status, so she remembered us and everything went so smooth, was actually a nice conversation, I felt like an idiot after panicking for so long and making my husband panic too...lol. She said the reason I got call for an interview was cause we had move a lot in the las three years, we have been in 4 different states and about 7 different addresses, so that kinda raise some red alerts on us. So, basically it took a whole year since I send the papers to get my card in hand....thanks everybody for your support and expertise advice, it's been an amazing experience that it wouldn't been possible without your help!!!!

  3. hi dedee, i called on july 3 after the 60 days period, and i asked to talk to an agent 2, which is an inmigration officer, she told me my address was correct, so the update was succesful and she also said my case was transfered to my local office for an interview, i guess the delay was because i use to live in the east coast and i filed with vsc, and in april i moved to the west coast, so maybe that was the problem.

i asked agent 2 to please do another inquiry about my case, and she did, so about a week ago i received a letter from my local office saying they have my correct address now and that they have my case and they will call me for an interview in august or september, which i think is really bad cause they dont say an exactly date and i was planning to go visit my family in my home country in august....so another plan i will miss because of uscis.

my thoughts for you will be to call and ask to speak to agent 2, you have to be polite with the people at the call center but at the same time be firm and ask to speak to an inmigration officer, they have the same info you will get if you ask for an infopass appointment.

best of luck for you, ill keep you posted with my interview.

  4. hi everyone!

at this point I dont know what to think anymore, so many days, weeks and months without sleeping and with so much stress, dont know when this nightmare is gonna stop.

my 6 months were may 1, i called and of course they didnt have any info at the call center, so i did an inquiry and they gave me a confirmation number, the robot in the call center said i should hear from them in the next 30 days.....so, in may 11 i receive an email from uscis telling that i did an inquiry and i should hear from them in the next 60 days ( so who is right the robot or the email???), anyway, last week i called and finally could talk to an agent 2, this very nice lady told me my change of address havent been updated in the system correctly, which is confusing since i did receive a letter from uscis to my new address confirming the change i did online. her advice was to just do the change of adress again for the system be able to update, i did it right away, the 2 days later i made my husband call and they told him to tell the address again cause is not update, so my husband says the whole thing again but this time on the phone with agent 2.

so, on friday i got 2 letters from uscis telliing me about the change of address,,,,,so what????, why they dont say something about my case???, whats wrong??, i dont care if they call me for interview, altough i would prefer they coming to my house and inspect every part of it to finally conclude i am truly married to my husband. i dont care, i just want a damn answer!!!

  5. im still waiting...i was liivng in miami last week, now i am in california and will move again this week to oregon, i am very confused right now about my case cause dont know if the fact of coming to the west coast will make them transfer my case to california and if that will mean another 6 months of wait. this is just messing with my life and plans....had a trip planned to dubai to visit my husband and everything got screwed up, he had to come back to the states and i couldnt get to see dubai.

by the way i think lilycarter already got her interview and she was approved.

    good luck all!!

  6. hi everyone!!

i would appreciate if someone could give me a good advise about my case. i am right now removing conditions in my residency and I am actually living in miami, fl, but by the end of the month i will be going to dubai with a residency visa sponsored by my american husband who is living and working currently in dubai. I will apply for citinzenship by october this year, so i need to know if the fact of going to dubai to stay with my husband will make a difference in my procces or if is other way to procces the citizenship if u are living overseas.

    thanks and kind regards.

  7. Thanks gigi673, it's nice to know somebody else is in the same situation.I will put all the addresses where I stay at, but I just wonder what address I should put as the main one and if I need to file AR-11...we will write a cover letter and send in with our application also...

I didnt file the AR-11, didnt even know that exists...lol

i think u should put ur actual address and put all ur husbands bussiness to the address where u live in now.

    good luck!!

I'll let u know how my procces ends.

  8. I appreciate any input/help for this thing me and my husband are going through.

The deadline for us to file jointly to remove my conditions on my green card is in June 2011. The story we have is that we got married in Feb 2009, and we stayed in LA in my mother-in-law's place since Feb 2009 to July 2009. After that my husband decided to join the marine. In the mean time, I couldn't find a job as a new nurse in LA, so I had to go back to TX (where I lived before I met my husband) and I found a job there and have been working there as a nurse ever since. My husband of course had to go through boot camp and training in different states, but he still kept his mother's address as his home address. He now stations temporarily in South California. We contact each other often and maintain a solid relationship.

Now it's almost time to us to file for I-751, but I'm not sure what address should I use. We file I-485 using our LA address. Should I use the LA address or use the TX address for I-751? I just don't want to raise any red flag unnecessary. For question #9, "Have you resided at any other address since you became a permanent residence?", I will put both addresses.

When I moved to TX, I didn't file any change of address form either. If I do it right now (AR-11) before we file the I-751, would it be ok? What is the best thing to do?

    Thank you!

hi paragon, i just realize we are in the same situation, i met my husband online, i'm from colombia, came with a k1 fiance visa, when my hubby started the fiance procces he was living in utah, then when i came to the country he was living in vegas, we married there and i started the AOS procces there, for the ecnomy crisis in 2008 we had to move to portland, oregon, staying there i went to the interview with him that was approved.

i got my conditional GC while in Oregon, then my husband found this great job overseas (irak) and we arranged everything for me going to miami to stay with my uncle(only family in USA), so we packed everything, and put all our stuff in an storage in portland, 1 week before the date my husband was supposed to leave to irak, the company said the are not hiring him anymore...that was terrible, no options, i didnt have a job and my husband neither, so our only choice was moving in with my husband's parents in rancho mirage, CA. we went there on april 2009, hubby got a job there and we were living at my inlaw's house for 6 months till october 2009, when hubby got another great oportunity, this time to kuwait, he went there, i came to miami, stayed with my uncle and then moved on my own and started working inmediatly, since then i have been living in about 7 different places, thats a lot of stuff going on in just 3 years.

so i already filled out my ROC in october 2010, and i put every address i have live since i married him. so just say the truth, i recomend u to write a letter explaining the situation and why u are living separate right now, thats what i did. plus i think ur case is special cause ur husband is a marine and they have permissions that regular people dont.

    graciassss
