I had my oath ceremony yesterday, they just asked for the greencard and questionaire. It was a very nice ceremony, better than I thought.

I have my oath ceremony tomorrow and I came back from Mexico yesterday!. I am gratefull they gave me this date. Is anyone going to have their ceremony tomorrow in Fairfax? Also which documents should I bring besides the green card, oath letter and mexican passport?

I got a message that my status changed to in line for oath ceremony. They said my oath ceremony letter will be sent in a few days. I am in Mexico, I hope my husband can read it before he travels. And that I am scheduled for after my trip, as I sent them a letter requesting it.

I will keep you posted if my husband receives the letter with the date.

I had my interview last week on the 18th and the lady was very nice and she told me that I will be recommended for approval. At the end I asked about my trip and they recommended that I bring to the office right away so that they dont schedule my oath ceremony until I come back on january 23rd. So I wrote the letter with the information of my flights and requestion for my oath ceremony to be after that day.

Can someone please update my information? It will be a while until I get back to you about the oath ceremony.

I will let you know if something changes on my status.

Did you receive the letter, when is your interview scheduled ?.

Thank you!, My interview was scheduled for November 18th. From what Newbie said, 3 weeks after that is when I have my flight for my oath ceremony, I dont know if it will be 3 or 5, but do you think I should ask them after my interview if my oath can be after my trip? If I am accepted of course! Or should I just wait for the letter, the problem is that If I travel I will not see the letter!

Any thoughts on how to do this?

I checked my field office and this is what it says:

the Washington Field Office rarely conducts same-day naturalization ceremonies.

So no same day ceremonies. It doesnt say how long you wait for the oath ceremony.

Does anyone now how long is taking in the Fairfax Office to schedule an oath ceremony

after the interview?

I received my email today!

On October 9, 2015, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

Now the challenge is that I already bought my tickets for Mexico for Dic. 9

I suppose the interview will be in November, if approved I dont know how fast the oath ceremony will be, but

do you think I can ask for it to be after my trip? Since I bought my tickets with my Mexican Passports Name.

I guess if the ceremony is right away I could do the whole thing but I dont know If I would have trouble with my passport and the tickets on my maiden name.

Any thoughts on that?

I guess they gave me the wrong information on USCIS that they are processing the people from January.

I hope I have my interview soon!. Are they giving you a Washington DC address for your interview?

Hi, I live in Virginia and today I called to see if I can know when my status will change to schedule the interview,

they told me that the closest office to me is in Washington DC and that they are processing right now the people who applied in January! is it really that slow? Is anyone in that office too? I need to plan for a trip to Mexico in December and I dont know what to do.

I am still In Line for Interview since August 31st!
