My mother recently became a lawful permanent resident in the United States. She intends to apply for F2B for me (unmarried child over 21).

However, I recently graduated from university and intend to pursue masters in the US. I wanted to ask whether having F2B application under process will affect my chances of F1 (Student) Visa, even if I secure full funding for my studies at an educational institution not close to where she lives.
