  1. I had an RFE too for removal of conditions. I had less documents because we don't rent, no shared utility bills etc. I gave them a copy of our health insurance contract, scan of our driver licenses that shows we have the same address and letters from our families and friends proving that we live as husband and wife. I think the one that got me approved are the tax transcripts from IRS. If you don't have them, you can order it online or by phone. Free of charge.

  2. I don't know if the rules have changed but my then-fiance visited me only once too. I wasn't asked about that during my interview. Fast forward to the present, we have been married for 4 years now. I suggest bring documents like emails, letters and such that can prove you are in constant communication with him. Good luck!

  3. Alright, I got my passport with the visa on it. And no, I did not open the yellow envelope. Just the clear plastic to get my passport. :) All seems to be correct on the visa. Here's the only next steps I know so far:

    1. Attend the CFO seminar and in which they will put a sticker on the visa

    2. Buy plane tickets

    --- what's next?---

What are the documents I need to bring to the US aside from the packet, passport (with visa) of course, my xray, my med shots record? Anything else that I'm missing out? I read that I need to fillup a form at the point of entry in the states. Do I need to download it and print it to get one? or will they just simply give me the form at the airport to fill it up?

  5. Hi,

I have been reading this public charge issue throughout the site but my situation seems to be different than others.

    My story:

I have been interviewed late last year but the consulate told me that she cannot grant me a visa due to public charge. I have all the necessary docs for the k1 application but my fiance's earnings is not above the poverty guideline. He is just starting to build his business and so as expected, it is not getting that much income for now. I was told that I can go back anytime without appointment to the embassy as long as I bring the paper (that states that I will most likely be a spublic charge) and proofs to overcome public charge.

His stepfather though volunteered to be my sponsor. He filled up another I-134 and some legal documents that states his income and his assets. I plan to go to the embassy tomorrow to submit those to window x.

    My questions are:

    1. Are those documents enough to get my chances of being approved increase? Did I miss out any other docs to submit?

    2. Will I have to pay? How much will I pay?

I would appreciate your responses regarding this matter especially from those who have experienced the similar situation.

    thank you sooo much
