  1. In case both petition get approved and I follow paths K3 and IR1/CR1 to the end. My question is using the Lotto's and James guides I would have most of the documents with me from my wife such as her original birth certificate, police certificates, marriage certificate, etc and I would need to submit it to NVC in USA for IR1/CR1. If I also pursue K3 which will be done at embassy of my wife's country than I suppose she would need these important documents there for K3 VISA, am I correct?

If its true than what do we do in that case when our orogials are already at NVC. Also I am wondering what happens to the fees we pay for CR1/IR1 path at NVC in case when K3 is approved way earlier while the IR1/CR1 still stuck at NVC? Do they refund it in case the spouse flies to USA on K3? Thanks

why don't you just go with K3. I went with K3 and its faster. my case was apporved on Aug 8, and now interview is on Nov 4.

  2. Hello guys,

I was so excited so i forgot to update my time line and etc. My wife just got an appointment letter. Interview is on November 4, 2008. I have already sent all my paperwork and everything. I am attaching the checklist form that I made for myself, well also you guys. So you know what to paper works you guys need on Interview day. Let me know if I am missing anything.

I also have one question, We got Appointment letter on today Sept 12, 2008. Do you guys know when should my wife do her medical. on packet 4 it says "7 days before" what does it mean? It means can we do it now? Her interview is on November 4. 2008. Please let me know if you know. This is at Bombay, Indian US embassy.

    Thank You,

  3. As you guys know that my both petition got approved on same time and date (Aug. 03, 2008). Then they forwarded to NVC. then a Aug. 11, 2008 I got letter from NVC case number for I-129F, and nothing for I-130. So questions are:

Does that means they went with K3 visa?

What happened to my I-130 (CR1) form?

They said they will transfer my case to US embassy in India within a weak.

Can you guys tell me what do I need to get ready (paper works) when get Packet 3 and Packet 4? So, my wife can early.

    are there any short cut?

From my you can see that I don't think we have choice to pick the route we want (k3 or cr1), It's up to them.

by they way, I will let you know what happens to my case and etc.

    Thank You very much.

    -Rahul

  4. I just passed my interview yesterday. What is next? Do I have to enter the U.S. ASAP? What after I enter there? Thanks.:dance:

    Congratulation on your approval.

Can I ask you some question, I see your I129F and I130 both approved on same date. Did u have choice to pick route to with I129F or I130. Which one is best?

    Thank You very much.

    -Rahul

  5. I followed both paths. This will get my wife the CR1, and in about a month and a half sooner than just following the CR1.

We followed everything the Embassy told us to do with the K3, and got an interview date of August 14th.

At the same time, I did everything through the NVC (online), my case was complete July 16th. They gave me an interview date of September 23rd.

I contacted the Embassy and explaind my situation, The just received my I-130 file from NVC, and my K3 interview on August 14th is now for the CR1. So my wife will get her CR1 interview about a month and a half sooner than the date that was set up.

    Good luck

    Thank You

so can you tell if i have choice or not?

  6. Hello Ladies and Gentleman,

I Have got email from USCIS that my both petition (I-129F and I-130) approved. Both of the petition approved at same time, I don't know what to do now. Can somebody please help me with this.

    Should I go with I-130 or I-129F?

    Do I have a choice?

How long would it take at NVC?

How long would it take at Mumbai?

Good Luck all of you. Hopefully, you will get approved very soon, We've waited too much.

    Thank You,

    Rahul

  7. Same thing for me... i heard the consulate's back log is back down to a normal wait (60-75 days after NVC sent) but it's still a long wait... and thats only for K3's... I130's still could take even longer.

Nothing amor i'm going crazyyyyyyy but there is nothing to do than just wait.

Don't worry, I totally understand what you are going through. I am traveling to the Dominican Republic every 3-4 months to see my husband and we talk everyday. It gets really expemsive but its all worth it in the end.

I pay only 10 dollars. let me know if you guys want to join. i can refer you guys. just PM me.
