Hello all,
No sure where to post this...kind of stressed out. I am in the U.S. Military, I went on leave with my Wife and Son to the Philippines in February for 3 weeks. My wife decided to stay behind and wait for her daughters IR2 visa to get approved..which took much longer than we planned. She originally had an appoinment scheduled for 9 August and that got cancelled due to flooding at US embassy. She is now scheduled for 9 Sept and we should have her Daughters visa shortly after that. We originally went to the Philippines due to her Mom passing away. We are just worried about her losing her greencard for staying out of country so long as an LPR. Any info would be appreciated.

I need help on my requirements for my son for his DS230 what else should I put in it?
I already have his original birth certificate, original baptismal certificate, biographic copy of his passport, 2 pieces passport picture, and photocopies of all originals, should I need to put my marriage certificate?
That's all I put in it...and they didn't ask for anything else.

My stepdaughters I-30 for an IR2 visa got approved on Monday @ USCIS. While I was preparing for the NVC stage I noticed i put her name wrong on the I-130. It reads First name: Jean, Middle Name: Xyrell Last Name: Cayabyab. It should read First Name: Jean Xyrell, Middle name: Pascua, Last Name: Cayabyab. PLEASE, someone tell me I don't have to start over!!!! I'm so stressed right now.

Hello,
Just a quick question...my wife came here on a K3 visa a few years ago. It was to late to do follow-to-join benifits for my step daughter so I filed a I-130 back in November. What will here Visa type be once approved?? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

All,
Question for you...my wife came to the U.S. from the Philippines in March of 2009. She got her 10 year green card in 2010. We want to bring her daughter here now..she's 11. I'm not sure if I file or if she files as an LPR? Also, Do we have to don another I-130 or can we do the I-824 for follow to join benefits??? An info would be appreciated.

Nobody is discriminating against you because you are a Native American. This country has policies and rules that need to be followed...why you brought Arizona into this is beyond me. I'm sure everyone on VJ is against Illegal immigration after we have all spent time and money bringing our loved ones here legally. Also, if you hate this country so much...give up your monthyly check you get from the U.S. Government that is paid to all Native Americans for the injustices carried out against your ancestors. The U.S. Governments has done nothing to you or singled you out in any way. Have fun in China, I'm sure theirs is a more just and free society.

Thanks! She's only 10 yrs old. My wife already has her green card....I just wanted to make sure i could still petition her as the USC. And also which was faste. Thanks again

Sorry if this is a question that has been asked a million times. My wife and I would like to bring her daughter to the U.S. she is under 21. Can I petition her as my stepdaughter or does my wife have to petition her as a Green Card holder? Also, which would be faster??
Thanks for any info!

You definitley do not have to love the USA. Bottom line comes down to this for all of us I hope....I could live anywhere I have friends and family. Location is not as important as the company we keep. My wife is from the Philippines and I love it there as much as I love it here...maybe a litter more in fact. I grew up in the military and have been serving myself for 13 years, I've been many place and I've always enjoyed each place..even Iraq. If you have good people around you then you can hopefully love the time you've had there not neccesarily the place.

Just got back from our interview....It went good!! We had a young Asian laday review our case and it took about 30 mins. She was really nice and asked us some general questions, nothing to hard. At the end she said everyhthing looked good and her supervisor would approve it later today. Since we have been married for almost 3 years already she said they would be sending out Diahs 10 Year Green Card this month. Hopefully soon. I got Diahs EAD card in the mail a few minutes ago. I think I will use that to get her SSN on Monday so i can get them in before 15 Apr 10. Thanks to everyone for your advice and support.

Thank-you everyone for your good wishes! Our review is posted now.
Thanks for the review menina! We have our interview in San Jose tomorrow and I was a little nervous. Looks like yours was pretty easy in San Jose. Thanks

Interview on 2 Apr 10.....still nothing on EAD though. Hope we get it soon!!!!
-
Guess I worried for nothing....about our RFE! No touches or updates online. I just got the Interview notice in the mail. Interview : 2 Apr 10 @ 1200!!!!!!! Finally!!!
-
For those who had RFE and submitted the evidence requested...
Did you get any notifications that they received your paperwork? I can't see our cases online you see although I have finished fingerprinting on Feb 22. Can't see my cases online (
I sent in my RFE on 4 Feb 10....no word back from them saying they received it. I can see my cases online but they haven't even been touched since they sent me the RFE on 28 Jan 10. What a brokent system!!
-
I finally got an e-mail that they received our RFE response and our case has resumed processing! All in all, this probably has delayed things by a full month (RFE date 2/3/10 - case resumed 3/3/10), which is kind of frustrating. However, if this is the only hurdle we have in this process, I will be very happy. Now we keep waiting - we really want to get the EAD soon and hope to join everyone that has an interview appointment soon!
Congrats to everyone for the progress y'all have made!
You just gave me some hope! I haven't heard back from our RFE which they received on 9 Feb 10. Thanks!!

Hello All.
I received an RFE for a problem with my Affidavit of support on 28 Jan 09 and replied with correct info on the 4th of Feb....received in Lees Summit, MO on 8 Feb 10. I haven't heard anything back yet and my case hasn't been touched at all since 28 Jan 10. Should I call to inquire? I'm in the Air Force and I have to go out of town for 5 weeks starting the end of April and I'm worried I won't be here when Diah has to have her interview. Thanks for any info....

Good Afternoon,
Quick question....I've been reading on here that if you have been married for less than two years you will receive the two year conditional Green Card upon approval of your AOS. My wife and I have been married for almost 3 years...does this mean she will automatically receive a 10 Year Green Card?????? Any inputs would be appreciated. Thanks

Actually you don't need to worry....my wife went through the same thing a SLEC in Manila and was delayed 6 months for the Sputum testing and treatment. SLEC will send your paperwork over to the Emabassy upon completion of your treatment. You don't need to worry that your original medical exam started 6 months ago. It will be based on the date you completed all treatment at SLEC. If you have any questions let me knnow.

Yeah..they have passports from the Philippines. I wasn't sure if there was an issue since they aren't citizens yet.
