No. Living there and loving and American doesn't make me one. Apart from that - my country does not allow dual citizenship and I certainly want to keep mine. We may be moving back there in a few years after all...

Congratulations to your newborn son! Could your wife not take the birthcertificate along to the interview? I have heard that that is where they want to see all the evidence.

I visited my husband after we got married and had not filed yet. It was not a problem. When asked what the reason of my stay was I truthfully answered: Visit my husband. Then they asked what my husband did and I said "He works" (could not think of a better answer, thought it was kind of a strange question) Then they asked when I was flying back. After I told them the date the guy said "Have a nice stay".

So - just to give you some personal experience

We got our NOA1 for the I 129f on the 16th of February. That was a great surpise We only sent it in on the 6th and have to go through the CSC. So, we have some hope left that things may be moving quicker than expected now after all...

We sent out I-130 petition in on November 27th and JUST got the NOA 1 on the 4th of February. The check was cashed the next day! So, you should be next soon!
