  1. Administrative Processing can take weeks or months.

It's normal for most men from the middle east.

    Best of luck to you.

    Nutty

Thanks Nutty, in other words i have to be patient and it will come. :) And thats hard for me.And im happy that your as come in  Did it drive you crazy waitting?

  2. I looked at some of your past posts, and I'm a bit confused about what happened at the interview. It is standard procedure in Casa to receive a 221(g) for administrative processing after the interview. This basically means that the interview went well and that they will issue the visa when security checks have cleared.

From what you posted here, I would think that they are still running checks and your fiance will be contacted to bring in his passport so they can issue the visa as soon as the checks are complete. However, it seems that you were not aware that such checks were happening. Did your fiance receive the 221(g) paper after the interview? Were there any other concerns at the interview?

yes he got the 221(g) and on it said that he passed his interview, but the paper said that after a week that he will be ask to bring in his passport. But its been 4 months does it take this long for security cheaks? We are just being inpatient i guess , he keeps telling to be patient. But its hard we want to be back together again and i guess waitting makes it seem so long. And no the interview went very will, like i said they interviewed him and then the next day they interviewed me. So yes the interview went very good. I guess im just stressing out.

Im glad you guys are here to help me.

  3. Do you mean they're going to send him his passport with the visa in it? I didn't think they did that in Morocco.

im sorry, they have not yet ask him for his passprt yet.this whole thing is driving me crazy  I just want him here with me. got to go im makeing bread.

  4. Salaam all,

    Happy Wednesday!

We just got our NOA2 yesterday, woo-hoo!!! Alhumdulilah!

My question is: Should i tell my fiance to start gathering all his documents now (sijel al adili, chahadat al 3ozoba, etc...)? Or should we wait till we know the packet's been sent from NVC to Casa?

From what i've read here, i feel like Casa is hit or miss... it could take 1 month or like 6 months to get an interview. And then there's that 3 month thing... how the validity of notarized documents expires after three months... i'm worried if we get the documents now, what if we don't have an interview until goodness knows when?

    Any advice?

    Thanks!!

i m sorry i spell somethings wrong and i flew over after i got the letter.

    good luck

I would statr getting things ready, I got the papers saying we were appoved and that the papers where going to casa. That was spet 6th 07. He got his papers while i was over there, which was in Aug, His interview was oct 15th. So it doesnt take long oknce the papers get to casa.

    good luck

  6. We received the NOA1 on August 1, 2007 and it's now past six months (185 days) since we've heard anything else. I see on the site that the CSC's average time between the NOA1 and NOA2 is 138 days. There is no change on UCSIS web site when I check it.

Should I be very alarmed? I'm worried and so is my fiance. What can we do next?

I sent in I129F on Apirl 16th 07. on spet the 6th 07 we recived the notice for his interview for oct. 15th 07. You should be hearing something soon.

  7. have your rep do some checking, never heard of them interviewing the other party

Ditto. Ive never heard of this either. Start talking to your congressman now. I had to get a congressional inquiry started for my husband (then fiance)'s security checks. But he got the visa before the inquiry had barely gotten out the door. Sometimes they just need a good kick in the pants.

Could it be that the application is now in AP, meaning it's going through security checks? That can definitely delay the process for sometime.

yes it is going through AP. But it takes for ever, My fiance is thinking all kinds of things, like he did not get appoved which he did, i think his just getting depressed. What can i do?

The wait is very hard. My husband was also very depressed when we were waiting for the visa and he was CONVINCED he was denied (which was not the case). Try to be positive and supportive for him, even though Im sure you're being stressed too. Incha allah you will be saying "visa in hand!" very soon.

yassmine, im in washington state how did you write to your congreeman?

Yes it is very hard i have spent 2 days crying, and being very depressed. I have called and emailed but i dont get any answers excpted that it is in AP. So now we write to each other and tell each other our feelings it seems to help to get it out on paper. He really has noone to talk to and he feels like America does not want him here, and all that stuff. But i tell him that I want him here, no one else matters. We have our bad days and our good days. But the waitting is killing us. How long did it take from the time your fiance got his visa appoval to when he had his visa in his hand?

  9. And the sad thing is there's a woman somewhere that will go with this BS!

I actually found this post on a berber forum. i read it , read it again and was kind of shocked to see it in writing

but let me tell you a flip side. I actually know of one moroccan guy who married for papers, got his american wife pregnant and had a moroccan girlfriend on the side from back home. The moroccan guy decided he loved the "fat american" and decided to stay with her much to the furor of the moroccan girl.

I posted this post because I thought it gave a little insight into the perception of American women by SOME not all Moroccan women and how they view cross cultural marriages. The weirdness comes into play when the "man" does NOT leave the '"greencard" after he gets his papers. Then it becomes a guessing game for the "native" girls as to why he stayed the course with the "greencard".

Its perplexing to some North Africans when the SO stays with the person who sponsored them and does NOT return home and marry one of their own. Love really does rule sometimes, yes... and when it does its confusing often to those who thought they knew the score.....

Well i guess im one of those ladys you talked about, Only thing is i have been to morocco, i have met his family and friends. And i had been over there, and i love it over there.I love his famliy and they love me. And my family has met his family. And we love each other very much. You cant jugde people from what other people do , not all moroccan men are like that.

  10. Interesting. This is the 2nd time in 2 days that I've heard of petitioner interviews in Casa. Maybe we'll be seeing more of this in the future.

Regarding AP, unfortunately there isn't much to do except wait. Hope things proceed quickly for you.

Shukron, But its hard waitting, when you miss each other so much.

  11. Would you mind posting some of the details of your interview and the type of questions they asked you? It may help for those petitioners who may want to be present at their fiance/spouse interview :help:

Really i was not at my fiance's interview he went by himself. They called me after he had his interview and ask me to come to casa the next day. They just ask me the same questions they ask him, where did we meet, the name of the inter net chat room, does our age diff. bother us, did I have a job,Where would we live when he came over, just thigs like that. He was sitting there waitting for me and then they called him over and said that he past and that he would get his visa ina week, WE ARE STILL WAITTING
