Our Story
We met briefly, when I spent the 3rd year of degree in Atlanta. He was visiting relatives at the university near mine. Lost contact for 6 years, met again through my friends email group list, in 1999. I could not believe it. Spoke for a few months on the phone and via email.
Made my first trip to to see him early 2000 - it was weird but good. The pull was too strong, so he sent for me the second time - marriage was definately in the cards. Third trip was the longest - I just packed up - it was great. While planning to have an expensive wedding in the caribbean - I got a lightbulb moment - why don't we just do it, save all the money we were going to spend and spend it on a huge trip, and property. Have a blessing at one of London's finest hotels. That went down well, and on 11th Spetember 2000 I graduated from Miss to Mrs!
Shortly after we married, I was offered a mega contract I could not refuse, so we decided to return to the UK (me first), and then David followed two months later. Been hear having fun since. Now David has the whizz bang offer, and I have to make the move.
Last August we filed the I-130, then October the I-129F (K3)
In Jan got the forms from the embassy in London, but held onto them for 6 months to get midway through my studies.
Returned completed docs to embassy in July, and got a letter for Interview in September.
Can see more clearly now.
