I think you need to speak with a vice-consul at the IV Unit where he was interviewed.

Do that, wade through the bullcrap 'other' workers, till you get a Vice-Consul,

then ask for 'what to do'.

After the long journey, two and a half years my dad got an immigrant visa (green card) to come to US. I am US citizen. Before entering US, he lost his visa sealed envelope ( yellow package, medical forms).

You would think either embassy or NVC would recover his papers but both agencies say they already have approved and don't have any papers. I have been contacting back and forth for 9 months now. USCIS didn't answer to my last question a month ago if I should start all over. Earlier they told me that I should contact NVC or embassy as my case is already approved. I don't even know if I can start all over.

Hope everyone got approved.

Got my biometrics done 06/20 and still waiting. Here is what frustrates me:

1) I didn't get NOA1, just biometrics.

2) In the back of my check a different number is written that the one on my biometrics letter

3) I cannot check my status online with the number on my biometrics letter, the other number shows some application filed in February. I am a May filer.

4) Ever time I call the service center, I am told something else. Its like I am teased.

First I was told that my case is in a local office and that everything is fine. That it is ok not to get a NOA1.

Then I called again a few weeks later, I was told that my case is still at TSC and that it is still pending with FBI. I asked why I was told something else before. The officer told me that I should not listen to my friends. I tried to explain, useless. He kept yelling that no one ever gets fingerprint answer faster that in 90 days.

Updating my biometrics date. I just got it done. No problem or waiting.

I think TSC is out of paper. I didn't get my NOA1 letter. I met a friend there who had the same timeline and she didn't get any other letter than biometrics too. The number on my biometrics letter is different than the one on the back of my cashed check. Both won't work online. Any ideas?

Correction, I got the biometrics letter in todays mail, its scheduled for next week. If I had not gotten my NOA letter, I would certainly call the USCIS office in my area. But, you can always ask about that when you do biometrics.

Ok, I just looked at both the NOA and the biometrics letter. The biometrics letter seems to have a bit more info on it, but the LIN number is identical. So, I would not be panicked about not getting it.

Basically, you have the more important letter of the two. But, again, ask about it when you go in to the office.

The card came today.

I am surprised we haven't heard anything from this list for yet another week.

This is unbelievable. They do less than one person per week.

Ok, we sent in my wifes N-400 on the 3rd of June. On the 9th of June we got a NOA letter. I assume that our application was ok, otherwise the USCIS would not have sent a NOA, but I could be wrong.

My question is, where is the biometrics letter? I thought you got the NOA and the appointment at the same time. Is it two letters? How far apart are the letters? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? I hope we get a letter this week giving us a biometrics date.

Any input would be appreciated.

I have the opposite problem. Sent N-400 on May 20th, got biometrics letter last week with biometrics appointment for Friday June 20th, but no NOA letter. I was going to post and ask if anyone got biometrics but not NOA. I wonder if my letter is lost.

Also is the application number on the fingerprint notice the same as the one on NOA? I tried on USCIS web and it doesn't show anything.

I haven't been online in over a week because I am on vacation in Germany. I received my biometrics letter on the day I left. I immediately typed a letter explaining that I would have to reschedule my appt because I was going to Germany for 12 days. I also added a copy of my itinerary to the letter asking them to schedule the next appt any time after I come back. Did anybody have to reschedule before? How soon did you get your second appt? I am worried they would reschedule my appt right away ignoring my letter. I am only gone for 12 days, but I am afraid I could miss my appt.

Mine was a very short notice.

They seem to be so consistent with exactly one week shipping and also on average wait time is about one year and one month from NOA1 date.

I wonder if I should send a copy of my card for N400 when I receive the card?

card production ordered today.

Got one email at 8 am. I checked onlines tatus and my daughters case is approved too.

party time! I got home about 30 minutes ago from my daughter's school and found the email. Had to call DH first.
