  1. I’m in the same boat. I recently got my US citizenship and I need to travel to India in Oct 1st week. I’ve already applied for Renunciation and there is no time for OCI before travel. So evisa is the only way forward. The evisa application is pretty straightforward and I’ve also filled it up temporarily. There is only one question that is confusing See the attached screenshot. Because I was an Indian citizen, I have visited in previous years based on my citizenship, So I answered,Yes to the question "Have you ever visited India before?" But then it asks to fill the previous visa information and visa type. Because I was an Indian Citizen before, I didn't need a visa. Therefore, i’m not sure what should I fill for the following two fields: Last Indian Visa Type of Visa: I’m planning to add my Indian passport number and just select a random visa-type value from the dropdown. what are you’ll planning to do? Or have done for this section They have not designed the evisa form for naturalized India citizens who don’t have OCI.
  2. Thanks! My oath is at 8 am … i’m not sure if my family and friends will want to get up at 5 am 😅😅😂😂
  3. Hey All - I wanted to update this helpful thread on my experience. I had my interview today -8th Aug, in NYC and was approved and in a couple of hours I got the oath notice on the website for 25th Aug. The interview took less than 10 minutes. First the officer did the reading, writing and the civics questions. On the N400, he asked Full Name Do I want to change my name? Date of Birth Was I ever married? Where do I live? What work do I do? Did I ever owe taxes? Did I ever serve in the military? Describe the club that I was a member of? And how long I was a member of. Was I ever arrested? And then the three Oath of allegiance questions - support constitution, bear arms and noncombat services. And that was it. The officer didn't check for travel, tax, no word definitions. I felt very lucky and also a little anti-climatic for all the preparation I had done. But better to plan for the worst and hope for the best. Good luck to all of you!! And every who posted commented, it really helped me on listening to everyone's experiences! Now, onto getting the oath and getting that passport..
