  1. So i have been a permanent resident since 02/10/09. Im filling out form n400 and got to the question about selective service. ####### i dont remember having to apply for this. I was 25 when my card arrived but my 26th birthday was 3 days later. I dont know what to fill in on the form? Should i say no i was over 26 or say yes and write a statement saying i honestly didnt know i had to register for selective service. Even though my permanent resident card says i was a resident since feb 10 2009, Im pretty sure it arrived after that date, which would of been after my birthday (3 days later).

Or should i write a statment saying that even thouhgh i was 25 according to the date on my card i didnt get it until i was 26? agh please help im stressing out. I want to make sure everything is perfect on this form

  2. Its just gone 90days until my GC runs out so ive started getting ready everything i need to send in with my I-751 form. So far i have

The form its self and the following evidence:

Copy of Greencard back and front

    Copy of marriage certificates

Joint tax returns state and federal for the last two years

Copy of joint bank account statements for the last 18months

Copy of Car insurance with both names on policy

Copy of car title with both names on

Tenancy agreement for last two years with both names on deed

Flight details showing Holiday vacation we are both going on to visit my parents for Christmas

Two letters of Affidavit signed saying they have known us since and before we got married

Around 20 pictures at various events, xmas, birhdays days out etc throughout the last 2 years with descriptions and dates

The only thing im stressing about is utility bills, they are all in my wifes name. Shall i still send them in with just my wifes name on or do i have enough evidence without them.

Also about any interviews that will come up, i plan on sending the form in within the next week, i will be out of the country on vacation from Dec 21st - Jan 4th. Is it ok just to put a letter in saying i will be out of the country and wont be able to attend any interviews during those dates?

    Thanks guys

  3. Ive found the form to fill out *I think* This one? Form C1

but what evidence to send in? Its confusing the hell out of me. My passport expired in May last year and im planning on going back to the UK for a few weeks in december.

Anyone know what documents i need to send to the passport office here? Also when travelling to the UK do i need to take my greencard with me?

    Thanks.

  4. Hi, my greencard expires on the 11th Feburary 2011, just want to confirm what i need to send in and when i should send it.

I know i have to send in a check for $545 which includes $80 Biometrics fee, and the form of course.

But im a bit confused about what evidence i need to send in? Im still currently happily married, working, and lived at the same address since i gained my greencard 2 years ago.

Also im going back to the UK with my wife to visit my parents for xmas this year, will this effect the process in anyway? We get back on the 4th of January and my card expires on the 11th of February. Should i send the form and evidence in when i get back from the UK or just before i leave? Im afraid of missing a letter or phone call etc if i send it in too early, also afraid of sending it too late.

    Thanks guys.

  5. Hi my AOS interview went well and i received my greencard this week in the post, i want to apply for a ssn number this week. I understand i need to fill in appliction form SS-5 and take it to my local ss office. What documents do i need to take with me? It says to take my I-94 but this was taken from me at my AOS interview last month?

Do you have work permit card? If not then, first get EAD (work permit) by filling I-765 and then apply SSN. Check the link www.ssa.gov , click “requesting a social security card” (pop-up new window) and after series of question (as applicable in your case) will find answer for “what document require for SSN”.

When i went to my AOS interview tho i asked about working and social security numbers and they said because i had been approved for the greencard there was no need to apply for an EAD?

  6. have my interview tomorow at london us embassy, is 10 photos enough? taken in usa, uk when my fiancee visited, pics of her showing off her engagment ring lol. Pics of her with my family, pics in veags for new years.

Also have concert tix we went to in the states and here, 2 months of phone records, one written letter, 2 emails, one bday card, one valentines card one xmas card.

Is this enough evidence am stressing so muchh

    Thanks

This is the kind of evidence needed to prove you met within the past two years but that's not what your interview is about. They'll want to evaluate whether you currently have an ongoing bona fide relationship. Evidence like phone records, additional visits or emails, chats etc. are the kind of evidence you need for the interview.

What do you have along those lines?

hiya i have my itinery for one visit to the usa (didnt save the rest am so mad i didnt) have been there 4 times in total, but have all my passport stamps to prove ive been there, have two months of phone records, 2 emails, one hand written letter, reciept for engagement ring, itinary for the two times my fiancee visited, itinary for a trip to france we took.

What does she need to send me? she lives with her parents, earns 45k dollars a year. I will be living with her and her parents until im able to work so my gf will be supporting me.

I know she needs to send me the i-34 form what else does she need 2 send me tho? Also do i need to fill in the I-34 form as well? or provide any evidence of what i earn?

  13. hiya im from the uk and applied for my police certificate around 40 days ago, i got a letter with a blue band at the top and the bottom come back from the national indentification service. it Says -

"Section 7 data protection act 1998-Subject access"

    "person record: prosecution/conviction"

then goes on to say "from the details supplied in your request there is no info held about you in the person record category of the police national computer.

then its signed and dated with my address.

Is the the police certificate??? or something else they have sent me...

  14. Hiya all, have my medical friday in london, have to take my 2X2 inch passport photos. Couple of questions hope someone can help me out.

Printed my own pics out, how much of me needs to be in the pic?, ones ive printed are from top of head to very tops of my shoulders, dont get the bit about 25-35mm eye level etc, and size of my head my heads nearly covering nearly all of the pic. Do i just have a big head? lol

Also do i need to use the same pic for my interview at the embassy later interviews etc? or can i use any pic?

    Thanks

  15. have recieved pack 3, filled out and sent forms ds-230part 1, ds156, ds156k, and ds157 back. Have collected nearly all the documents i need in support of my application (still waiting for police report to come back, takes upto 40days grrr). Am stressed about the "evidence of support". My fiancee will be supporting me until im alowed to work in the usa, (i have no job waiting for me there). Will be living with her and her family for the time being, she works as an accountant making around 45k dollars a year.

What kind of evidence of her supporting me will i need to provide for the interview? :s, also about the medical as i said have nearly all my documents i need except police report, wud it be ok to get the medical done in london before i have all my documents ready?

Hope someone can help me out, thanks :)

She makes plenty, she just needs to bring 3 years tax returns and her pay stubs. Use the I-134 form and you will be fine.

So i just need her to mail me copies of her tax returns and copies of her pay stubs for me to take to my interview? for evidence of my support in the usa, can i fill the I-134 on her behalf?
