  1. Our case was completed at the NVC on July 16th. Finally!!!!!

    What happens next ??

I files my I-130 on 15th Aug 2007 and my case was completed on 16th of July 2008. I envy some people whose process took less than 6 months but hey, i am happy for you and god bless your journey of life. When i called NVC they told me that they will schedule (or try to schedule) the interview with bombay office on 15th of Aug. They schedule interviews on every 15th of the month. Cos they do not have any appointment available for Aug 2008, they will try ot get the date in Sept. They also give you one month to prepare the doc and also, clear medical. Does it mean my wife will have interview after Sept 2008 ? No one at NVC is able to answer this question, they are just asking me to wait and check back after 15th Aug.

I AM PROUD CITIZEN OF USA, i think i need to go back and check the definition of "PROUD" before i use that word for USA and specially the bureaucratic agencies like NVC. I know i sound bitter and upset, but its a human nature :)

regards and good luck to all, please ignore my frustration, its going to be fine soon.

  2. Hey nice2talk, that makes sense now. Don't change the post, but you might want to ALSO post on the CR1/IR1 forum as well. Your information helps all of us, it is always wonderful to hear about approvals.

You might however want to change your timeline information and remove that you filed for K3, I think it affects the statistics on VJ?

    Again, congrats on the approval!

    Sure sir,

I like the advice i get from people like you. You guys a doing excellent job of educating and comforting people by giving them moral support and encouragement.

I have changed my time line already but now i will change filing from K-3 to IR1. BTW, why do people file for i-129F and then i-129. I thought you can not file i-130 if you are not married. And if you are married, you are filing for IR1 -: I am confused but i will follow your instruction as you sure know way more than i do.

    Thanks again

    amit

  3. Congratulations nice2talk!!! That is great news! Hope your transfer to NVC is quick and painless.

I am confused though, you are listed as a K3 filer, but your timeline only has the I130. When did you send the I-129F?

    --------------------------------------------------

You are right, but i thought that i-130 is K3 too. I did not file for i-129. I started with i-130 to minimize confusion (to INS :)) and also filed G-325 with it. Also correction on my previous post, my receive and notice dates were in 2007 and not in 2008. Only approval date is in 2008.

Should i change my posts to another section instead of K-3 ? I do not want to provide any misleading information so please tell me if i am in wrong section of forum.

    regards

  4. Good day everyone...

I would like to start a new thread to track all of us JULY, I-129F/K3 Filers. As you can see only my I-30 is approved since I sent this in May. I sent my I-129F on July 20th and until now I have not been approved (pending). I would appreciate if you could share the progress of your I-129F's filed in July.

    THANKS!!!

    --------------------------------------

I got the approval (i-130) email at 9:00 PM M(PDT). I sent my i-130 and G-325 on 27th of July 2008 and action date was 17th Aug 2007. See my time lines for my details. I did not find any other place to give hope to people who are same desperate as i was and looking for silver linings. Good luck, your dream will come true soon and thats my promise to you. GOD BLESS US ALL.

    regards

    ap

  5. It seems that the applicants from late July are now being processed. That means we're next!

So maybe we should keep a thread in expetation of NOA2s :)

The delays in receiving NOA1s made our process very confusing and upseting. And now with rumors about the K-3 being canceled, just when we are about to be approved, it makes me feel that nothing about our process is usual and right :(

    But let's remain positive.

Ever since I filed both I-130 and I-129F to CSC, I didn't received any indications that my documents were ever looked at.

    How about you guys?

i Sent my I-130 on 27th of July and NOA1 says that they received application on 27th of July'07 and action date is 17th of Aug'07. My file was touched on Jan 29th'08. So, my point is, dont get frustrated, your file will be touched soon and you will have some progress on your application. Good luck.
