Finally! Interview letter has arrived in the mail! IL dated May 6th, Interview scheduled for July 2nd.

I hope so. My neighbor sent in their N-400 application last July and had just had their interview in March. Since I had to retake my fingerprints, I fear that I may have a long wait ahead of me. Anyway, I am still optimistic.

I've just found via another on-line link that someone else who had also filed with Detroit DO with the exact same FD, FP date as mine had received his IL on 4/10 and is scheduled to have his interview on 6/19!! I can't wait to see what my postman brings this week.

Bad news! Fingerprints were not good enough, need to re-do biometrics. I think I will stay away from the guy who took my fingerprints in Feb, he had to take them twice and did not stop taking about himself the entire time!

We got an interview appointment today!!

The notice arrived in our mailbox today, Mar 27. It's dated March 24. The interview appointment is set for May 30. Other details are in our timeline below.

We're being processed through the San Francisco office. This is faster than we expected!

Fingerprints taken as scheduled at the ASC office in downtown Los Angeles. The office does not officially open till 8 a.m., but they opened the door at 7:30. It was first come, first served as people walked thru the door. After filling out the required form a line was formed still in the original order in which people had come thru the front door. At 8 they began processing and the total time was less than 15 minutes. It was not a bad experience, but they would not let anybody else into the waiting area so dress warmly. It can get cold leaning up against a building in the early morning, even in L.A.
