This sounds all kinds of illegal.

Items delivered to the lockbox will just sit there until USCIS collects them - they won't be returned to sender.

It does doesn’t it. It’s infuriating, I didn’t have that issue with our current apartment.

And I thought so, it seems weird they’d say they’d return it considering it’s a P.O. Box.

  2. Hi all,

    Stressing out a bit.

IMG_0034.thumb.jpeg.ce85ff75dee616611d08f83a014ccd95.jpegI had my original packet denied as I made the mistake of using G-1450 and my bank flagged for fraud. Sent a new packet with cashiers checks instead, priority mail and tracking. Sent July 7th and it arrive at the Chicago lock box on July 8th. Since it ran into the weekend I imagine they did not collect it. But now it’s the 13th and it says ‘Delivery attempt, reminder to pick up your item before July 12th’. I’ve seen some people say this has happened to them and USPS just didn’t update when USCIS collected the packet. But since I used cashiers checks I can’t see when the money has come out/ if they’ve started processing my applications 😭

I'm so worried something has happened. I included form G-1145 at the front of each applicable application. When would I hear through the e-notifications that they have been accepted?

(to make things worse I move soon and our new apartment need my USCIS receipt number to prove I’m in the process of citizenship 🙃

  3. Thank you for this. We have an appointment with our lawyer soon to go over all of our forms and it is so overwhelming. I keep checking the processing times for I-765 but keep getting different results of up to 15 months. Does anyone have any idea of what is a more accurate time line? I think I will lose  my mind if it’s 15 months, I was expecting maybe 7/8 🤣🥲
