Hey guys,

what should one do until the embassy sends the packet,,what forms need to be filled and what processes do i need to get done?

I just started work Jan 2008 after graduating last year, and I never had a tax return before, how is it going to work with the embassy? Is it ok to just submit pay stubs?

Spoke with NVC guy who said the visa will be refused because I did not work before or have tax returns!!!!!!!!!!

Please help

OMG! A touch!!!I hope it means something!By the way, we sent I-129F on feb. 18th and it was received at VSC on 19th but we haven't received NOA1 yet.Is that normal?

I sent mine on FEB 23, it was received there on FEB 26 at the CSC,,no reply yet!!!

i called them and they said it might take 30 days,,they said i should call if i did not receive any reply within the 30 days!

my I129F has been at the CSC for two weeks no with no NOA1??!!

and all peaople from CSC got their NOA1's,,,now im freaking!!

does the I129 petitioan have a different receipt number than the I130 ?

or are they combined together under one receipt number?

Please add me to the list. I filed my I-130 on Jan 7. I got NOA1 on Feb, 6, and was in the computer system on Feb 24. I filed my 129F for the the K-3 on Feb 11 but it was rejected due to an error I resubmitted it on Mar 4.

When did u recieve the letter back stating the error?

The US embassy in Cairo, Egypt requires a 6 months residency of the petitioner in Egypt before filing the I130 petition, here's whats on the website:

Effective immediately, Consular section may accept Form I-130, Form I-360 and Form I-600 under the following conditions:

1- The petitioner is a resident of the consular district. The Consular section is allowed to accept I-130 petitions from U.S. citizens who reside within the consular district and have done so for the previous six months. U.S. citizens whose principal residence is not in the consular district, and/or who have entered the consular district as a temporary visitor/student/or with limited leave to enter and remain must file the petition with the appropriate USCIS service center in the United States or in their consular district of residence. The U.S. petitioner must provide appropriate evidence that he/she has permission to reside in the consular district or, if he/she is a member of the U.S. military stationed in the country, a copy for the petitioner’s orders.

2- The petitioner must have maintained continuous residency in the consular district a minimum of the preceding six months in order to demonstrate residency.

and ive got a question...after i recieve the NOA1 for I-130...what do i do?!

That would depends which route are you taking. If you are taking the K3 route, you can file your I-129. If you are taking the IR1/CR1, you just need to wait for your I-130 to be approved.

Processing time for both is similar however, IR1/CR1 will lead you to green card and your spouse will be able to work upon arrival. You would need to adjust status when your spouse enter USA with the K3. It will cost about $1010 (not sure about the amount) and you have to wait for months. On top of that, your spouse won't be able to work or apply for driving license.

Whichever route you are choosing, good luck!

i'm planning to get a K3 visa for my hub, but i'm kind of lost!

Any news or estimations about NOA1 date ?!!

I've heard and read in many forums that the I-130's NOA1 photocopy is not required for I-129F filing, can I just attach the number on the check when its cashed or do I have to wait for the NOA1 to arrive via mail?

What I understood is that some lawyers file both packets together - the I-130 and I-129F - but when I called the National Customer Service Center they said its essential to attach a photocopy of the I-130's NOA1!!!
