  1. I'm at work so I can't do too much, but I did **just** see this for our I485

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. On May 7, 2009, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

    Things are happening.

  2. Hello.

Ok, so we sent off the I-485, I-765, and the I-131... a few days ago we received a letter stating a NOA for the I-485.

We also received a "rejection notice" stating that we had over paid for the I-765, and the I-131, the un-cashed checks ( for the I-765, and the I-131) were returned, and the letter stated...

"Recently, you submitted an application for immigration benefits. That form was submitted with an extra remittance that is not required to process your application, or the incorrect fee was submitted. Your check is being returned to you with this notice. No additional action is required at this time. Please comply with any other reject notice you may receive."

That's fine.. I thought we might have over paid for the I-485 (we paid more than the $1,010.00), but what does that mean for the I-765, and the I-131?

We've received nothing regarding that thus far, and the only mention of any "case type" in the NOA is that I-485.

Does this NOA cover the I-765, and the I-131? or no?

    Thanks for the help/patience

  3. Liz intends to fly into the US next Friday, does it make much sense for her to file for the EAD when she arrives? OR should we wait until the AOS? We plan on getting married in no more than 45 days from Feb 1. Wouldn't it just be simpler to wait and file everything (EAD/AOS) at once, say on March 16th?. The EAD will expire at some point and it seems (forgive me if I'm incorrect) like a waster of $400.

We've been taking it one step at a time, and not getting ahead of ourselves by planning anything until the visa was delivered (it was delivered on Monday). So now we're playing catch up, and we're both unsure as what to do.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. I was touched May 20th.

..edited to add.. that the comments on my times line read...."Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between July 27, 2008 and August 4, 2008"

I'm certain that when I first plugged in all the info onto my timeline .. it gave me a adjudicated date much later than the end of July/early August... now it doesn't seem so far off.. since June 15 is only days away.. I alos know not to read the estimated dates as gospel, but it's still nice.

    thoughts?
