Hi All, does the administrative processing time depend on the country in which you do your interview or is it done in the US (i.e. FBI, DEA etc)?

I received an email from NVC regarding my immigrant (EB2) visa application that they have verified my civil documents and now I have to wait for my interview to be scheduled for me.
Is there any way I can find out how long do I have to approximately wait for that?
I live in New Zealand (Auckland).

Can I ask how? I thought the checks will be done by FBI DEA etc right?
