I will be bringing my wife to the US on 12/23, entering thru JFK. She has a CR-1 Visa.

I want to be certain about what to expect, what to do, etc.

Does anyone have information about the medical exam in Morocco or copy of the letter listing doctors, etc. My wife's interview is in two weeks and she has not received anything in the mail. I got the interview letter here in the US and emailed copy to her, but we have not recieved any info about the medical.

Case completed and sent to Casablanca, I followed it on with DHL tracking.

I just called NVC and they gave me interview date for Aug 14. They said letter is in the mail.

It may require contacting more than one to find someone that works well with immigration. You will first get a form from them giving them the authority to speak about your case legally. You will just describe your case to them and ask them IF in the future you may call upon them for information and help. Alot of time a rep will send a letter just before the interview letting the embassy know they have interet in the case. But start with the privacy form, you can prob do this thru email, quicker. My rep and i do email back and forth as needed.

My petition left NVC yesterday on its way to Casablanca. My wife has all the documents, copies, etc. We are just waiting on the appointment letter and info about medical/vaccinations.

Other people have mentioned contacting congressman to help with process in Casa (since it can be problematic).

What should the letter to congressman state or request? Please clarify.

I sure people can add to this

1. Send email before you sleep each night so your SO sees it first thing in the morning.

2. Send text message to SO when you know you will not talk or see one another that day. (Getting random text message from my wife always makes my day and her timing is incredible)

3. Web cams are great and even better with Wi- Fi. I have been able to show my wife every room in our house and also my office, work space, car, etc.

4. I work in theatrical production so my wife has been treated to web cam viewings of productions i am working on.

5. We eat meals together on web cam and again because I can bring the camera in the kitchen we chat while I prepare meals. (We also have silly routine about who does the dishes)

6. Introduce your SO to your friends and family using web cam (also great practice for English)

7. Do a fashion show for each other (I leave that to your imagination)

8. Since she is 5 hours ahead of me i get to watch her fall asleep some nights.

9. Plan a date night. (my wife really likes these) we only talk about us (no Paperwork) we have a meal, play games (checkers, etc), i give her short stories i have read so she can practice her english by reading them to me.

10. I'm on the east coast of US and she is in Morocco so I tell her i wave to her when i drive near the ocean.

11. Visit has often as possible. I have countdown clock on computer for my next visit. (48 days). Having a clear day when you will be together give you goal to reach.

12. Send a surprise postcard (even if it take forever to get there), it was in your hand and your SO can hold it too.

13. Just leave your web cams on and go thru your day, my wife is studying for her graduate exams and I like to read or work on project at home. Just leave cam where each can see each other and then you can watch or talk whenever.

14. Make a schedule if possible. My work is flexible for now so I can tell her when I go to work and when I will be home and I do my best to stick to what i told her and if it changes let her know (Same as if she was here with me)

15. Each day is one day closer to being together forever.

You need to call and speak to an operator and ask them to tell you what is missing or what is theproblem. You do not need to wait for the letter. They keep track of your calls/conversation on their computer system. Operators have been nice but not always helpful. I had same problem with NVC (about our marriage certificate) and I'm still waiting to hear if new one I sent is ok.

We are almost through the NVC process. Can anyone give us info on the medical exam, vaccinations needed for Morocco (CR1)?

I am applying for CR-1 Visa for my wife. We were married in September 2007 in Casablanca. I just sent in the DS-230 to the NVC and they sent back letter stating that the marriage certificate is not a valid original. All other documents are ok.

It is the certificate that I was given from the Adoul (judge) that performed our marriage. I had him make two originals one for me and one for my wife. We use it to travel in Morocco because it is required for stays in certain hotels. It is valid in Morocco.

The person I spoke at NVC said its been reviewed twice and they still said it is not valid. I told him the story and asked what do I do to send valid certificate and he could not answer me. I asked to speake t a supervisor and he put me on hold and came back to me with same answer. Its not valid but they dont have answer as to what I should do and I can't talk to person would reviewed document.

As anyone experineced this problem. Any help appreciated

I'm an October filer. I filed as a K-3 sending the I-130 in October and the I-129F in January after receipt of the NOA1. I just rec'd NOA2 for the I-130 and it has been sent to the NVC. I just called the NVC number and got the case #.

So I guess this means we are on the CR1 track, which is fine since my wife needs to finish graduate school and I have been able to visit her. I prefer the CR1 since its a better visa and cost less. It seems to be working out for the best.

hi there i have the same timeline as u have. we received our NOA1 janaury and our NOA2 last week...but they did say to call NVC 2-3 weeks after to get the case number.....how many days did u say u waited to get ur case number???

I was able to get case number from NVC about 10 days after rec'd NOA2.

Rec'd AOS bill from NVC today and it shows Visa classification as CR1. That works for me and its moving along.
