Hi I'm new to this forum...

I really don't know if I should worry at this point...

My case was submitted directly to CSC in early Dec 07 (please see my timeline for details), I notice MOST PEOPLE (CSC cases) who applied at about the same time as me, or even later than me, got their approvals already.

I know the USCIS site states that they're processing cases filed by 10/18/2007 as of mid-April 2008, however we know this info is always off, people always get approvals way earlier than that date. I notice some of them even got approved in 2 MONTHS!

I haven't heard anything since my biometrics taken in early January... it's been 3 and a half months... I feel really panicked... do you guys think this is normal?

Do you think it has anything to do with local offices (in my case that would be Santa Ana)?

I sent my application to CSC on 1-2-08, had biometric done on 1-31-08, got approved on 4-7-08 and received green card on 4-14-08.

some people got transferred from NSC were approved around 2 months.

As long as you submitted enough evidence, you would get approval notice soon.

The only thing we can do to deal with USCIS is to be patient and I think you make an infopass appointment if your case will be out of 6 months window period.

Get it taken off as soon as you can! It did indeed cause my husband problems when he applied for a new job, they would not accept the marked ss card or his one year extension letter with his expired 2 yr gc. It was a mess and I ended up calling the justice department. This happened about this time last year. You can see all my posts about it by looking up my name. Anyway, he went to the ss office with his marked ss card, letter and expired gc and they sent him another regular card in about a week's time. So now everything's good, except that damn long wait on the I-751....

depending on different agencies, The agency that I went to did not take my old card.

I just filled in the form and got the card without restriction about 10 days later.

I applied to lift the restrictions on my SSN card after I got my 2 year conditional green card.

Now you have permanent resident status as long as your marriage exists, so you can to SSA to apply to lift the conditions on your ssn card as long as bring your green card, no matter it is 2 year or ten year .

I received a letter from USCIS that my case has been transfered to california service center.I have heard that there process is fast but anyone has idea that how much time they take and if i have to check processing time how will i do because currently there date is sep 07 and mine is jun o7.

From my experience, you will know the result with 2 or 3 weeks.

My I-485 case was transfered from National benefit center and was approved by CSC with 10 days.

I filed 1-751 to CSC and got approval notice within 3 months.

AS far as know, CSC really works.

I do not know why TSC and NSC are pretty slow in processing I-751 cases.

I agree with others ..... it was very easy to fill forms ourselves . I was expecting them to be close to the original forms , but was not even close . My wife and I did everything ourselves , and just looked on here for help.

To be honest, I think it is just waste of time and money to hire a lawer to file immigration related application.

Nowdays, we can get whatever info that is helpful for your case for USCIS or Visajourney website.

Technically, only youself cares about your case, I do not think lawer is willing to spend enough time for your case and they only care about money.

I filed I-765, I-485 and I-751 all by myself after I looked through enought information through website of USCIS, however, if you can not read English, I would suggest you hire a lawer.

I suggest you guys to send enough supporting evidence, mine was as follows:

joint tax transcripts from IRS

House deed

joint mortgage payment statement

copy of joint credit card, insurance card

401k statement

vacation itinenary flight and hotel reservation showing both of names

photos

anyway, all documents that showing joint ownership would be much helpful

I-751 appproved on 4-7-08 by CSC without interview ( the whole process was 3 months)

I think if you have enough evidence to support your marriage is not fraud, mostly likely you would be approved without interview.

My I751 has been pending since 07/06. (...) I still have not received my 10 year green card but today I received a letter confirming my naturalization approval.

My I-751 was approved on 4/7/08 from CSC

just got an email from CRIS that my card was ordered.

sent my I-751 paperwork 1-2-08

checked cashed 1-3-08

got NOA 1-15-08

had finger prints done 1-31-08

got approved 4-7-08

I did not have interview for my I-485 application

It's been 3 months but I heard nothing from CSC for my case.

I guess it does really depend on how lucky you are.

Some cases got approved with 2 to 4 months, while some cases might take more than 1 year.

It seemed that CSC proccessed the I-751 cases much faster compared with other service centers in 2007, but I do not know how things are going to be this year?

I filed on Jan 2rd, got finger prints on Jan 31st. got touched on Jan 31st and Feb 1st.

I often checked the website of USCIS since then, but no "touch" at all and it just shows Feb 1st.

Do not mess up the things until you file your I-751 and actually get the card after months of waiting patiently.

Your life might be screwed up by unnecessary mistake that you make in the short time.

Could you please update you timetable here? therefore, we will get some useful information.

I sent my application on Jan 2rd, got extenstion letter on Jan 10th and

biometric appointment letter (biometric service date, Jan 31st) on Jan 19th from CSC.

The receipt number for extention letter is WAC0809500XXX, but application number for

fingerpriints appointment letter is WAC0806551XXX.

I tried those two numbers on line, but none of them worked.

I do not know why? Anybody can give me an explanation?
