    this is what stated :

1- Determine the countries from which a police certificate is required. You will need a police certificate:

If you have been living in your country of nationality for more than 6 month and you are 16 years old or older

If you lived in a different country for more than 12 months and you were 16 years or older at that time

If you were arrested for any reason and you were any age at the time of the arrest
(Note: Police certificates from the United States and Iran are not required)

2- Contact the appropriate police authorities. Additional information on how to obtain a police certificate can be found on the Reciprocity by Country page.

if i were ur mother in law, i will try to obtain that certificate from malaysia just to eliminate any issues. hongkong shouldnt be needed since she only lived there for 7 months

I will definitely look into this! Thank you so much

Sorry to hear that. What are you applying for, which category? Assume it’s not an employment based immigrant visa as you mention i-864 so are you sponsoring a family member?

If you fill in your timeline on VJ then it will help people whenever you ask questions.

its the IR5 visa and was just recently DQ, Do i have to update it right away after the job should it go to the embassy?

If you are the petitioner and this is a family based immigration visa, get another job and inform NVC when you do.

In regards to informing them, is it pretty much just filling out a new i864 and doing the whole process over again?

  3. Does anyone have a ballpark figure on the wait time when the manilla embassy will schedule an interview for my wifes mother via ir5 after being dq at nvc stage? Its kind of hard to find this information but i was curious if anyone would happen to know

  4. We are close to scheduling the interview for my wifes mother. The problem is she cant find her vaccine records, could they administer those vaccines that are required at st lukes medical during the health exam? or is she going to have to get the vaccines herself

  5. Does getting snap and wic impact the decision on i864? just confused based off of this

What public assistance programs does USCIS not consider?

A: Generally, we do not consider noncash benefits in making public charge determinations. The only noncash benefit we consider is long-term institutionalization at government expense. We also do not consider special-purpose cash assistance that is not intended for income maintenance.

For example, USCIS does not consider any of the following public benefits when making a public charge determination:

    Nutrition programs

    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or other nutrition programs
    • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
    • School lunch and school breakfast programs
    • Benefits under the Emergency Food Assistance Act (TEFAP)
    • Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
    • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

If you are not currently working then your current income is zero, and you are not set.

I am working right now my wife isn't and she is the one that peitioned. So i would have to do the joint sponsor option? Another possible issue is i started this job last year so i don't have a full years worth of income, however at the rate i am going i would exceedt he income requirement

Savvings of $10,000 or $30,000 as u posted both?

u have to prove the amount  by a formal document from bank or saving's institution

    Savings is over $30000

  7. My wifes petition for her mother is in the NVC stage. My wife has been out of work for almost a year due to covid and giving birth. I havent stopped working. Yet we are household size of 4 and need income of 37500. Our tax transcripts for the last three years exceed that. However my job has been slow so far this year due to taking time off for moving and maternity leave. Anyways if my tax transcripts that i filed with my wife exceed 37500 each year should i be all set? I also have a savings which i can use to make the difference for the i864? Say income is 32000, and i have a savings of $30000 would that be sufficient enough?

  8. Our status says 4 months left estimate to decision just curious in the mean time what else can we submit to help? So far we submitted

    1. My wife's birth certificate with her moms name on it

    2. Me and my wife marriage certificate

    3. Wife's natuulatiion

    4. and an official transcript from school that shows her moms name on it with my wife's name.

What else should I upload to help? Just reviewing it now and don't think we added enough
