  • Our Story
I married my high school sweetheart and after 23 years we felt more like brother & sister and I knew there had to be more. We parted ways and I did my dating via the internet because I had only dated the one man and was scared beyond belief. After 3 years of laughing at, crying over, and giving up on men I stumbled across the most precious man I wasn't looking for in a chat room, on December 26, 2002 at 8:23 p m. I thought he was American and from the South like me from the sound of his chat name (Rebelrider59). Once I saw his profile I knew he wasn't the "Good Ole Boy" I had pictured. He was from Scotland and I figured "what the hey", I'll amuse myself with a funny talking guy for an hour or so. My intro message was "Hey, when can I plan the wedding?" Now most men would not think of this as humor and run with their tails tucked between their legs, but not my David. He liked the humor and could hold his own with me very well. We played make believe for awhile but then we both began to see we clicked. I don't know if anyone else knows how that feels because it didn't happen much for me, but it is an awesome feeling. From that day forward we haven't missed one day of chatting for hours and talking on the phone. We talked the second day for 16 hours straight. We have met twice (once for a month and again for another 3 months). There is a mythical story which says that God created humans (being neither male nor female) at first and then split them apart making a male and a female then sent them back to be reborn. Your mission in life is to find your split-apart. David is mine. People keep asking me how I cope with being kept apart. I tell them true love is worth fighting for and I wouldn't want a love I couldn't wait on. Sorry to be so mushy, but I'm getting old and sentimental and so very much in love.

P.S. We are one of the unfortunate lost petitions at this point. Approved December 8, 2003 but nothing so far. If anyone has the same problem, contact me or rebelrider59. We haven't found any magic spell to help us yet, but we can tell you what we have done while waiting.
