  1. Here is what it said:

"You entered the US as spouse of an alien. However, you claim no previous marriage. Please explain. Submit a legible copy of the final divorce decree that shows proof of filing, or the death certificate issued by the civil authorities, that terminated the prior marriage between you and your former spouse."

I did exactly as you said - sent them a letter explaining that this doesn't apply to me and I never been married in my life, and that is a mistake. I was quick enough, sent it with certified mail, they already got it as the usps site says. Hopefully, this will move quickly. Thanks for your support!

  2. Well, actually I was wrong when saying that it is a mistake with A# on RFE. I called them, and the lady told me that the A# on RFE is the new number for my fiance, basically the number already been assigned to her, it will be her A# when she comes to US.

So, I asked her, why I was asked to provde the divorce document if I have never been divorced. She said this only might happen if I stated that I was divorced or widowed in the original application. I have checked to make sure, and I have put "single" everywhere!

This is so frastrating, after waiting for exactly 5 month, day to day from my NOA1, I am getting absolutely stupid RFE which is asking me to provide something that I can't provide!

  3. Could anybody help? I received RFE containing the following info:

"You entered the US as spouse of an alien. However, you claim no previous marriage. Please explain. Submit a legible copy of the final divorce decree that shows proof of filing, or the death certificate issued by the civil authorities, that terminated the prior marriage between you and your former spouse."

I entered the US long time ago and been a citizen for many years, however I have NEVER been married in my life! And never entered the US as spouse of an alien.

Anybody has an idea? what should i do in this case?

    Gladly appreciate any help!

  4. Question - I have recieved my NOA1 on 4, that is also the last updated day at the USCIS status online web-page. I have not been touched since.

Is this within normal time range ? I just saw people been touched repeadetly soon after they recieved NOA1s, should I just call them to check?

Don't call them unless your processed date is passed by 10 or 15 days. I've heard that they get upset if you call them a lot. Mine hasn't been touched either. I think it's fairly random. I've seen people who got lots of touches, but no approval. I've also seen a couple of people post that they didn't have a single touch, but then all of a sudden there was their approval. I know it's hard...but be patient and it'll come through in time.

    Thank you very much.

  5. I hope it will all clear up for you soon!!!!

Can you plz give specifics? So, you mentioned you know her since 2004 but have no supporting evidence until 2006. But knowing a person and engaging into relationship is not the same thing, right? I know my fiance since 2005 when I briefly saw her but in fact I started my relationship in 2007 and said in my docs that I KNOW her since 2005 but started communication in 2007. So, I believe it all depends how you put it in the document.

    Scenario 1.

You said that you KNOW her since 2004. And didnt' say that you communicated to her thorugh that time until 2006. In this case, an immigration lawyer will clear thing easily.

    Scenario 2

You clearly stated you communicated to her in 2004-2006 but didnt' provide support. Then, it is a matter of circumstances - what exactly did you say? This scenario is more difficult for you to resolve than the first one.
