    Hi Alexis!

Congratulations on receiving the date! I am very happy for you, you are almost there!!

I am sorry for the late response, I wanted to give you some insight of how everything went…

As you know, my appointment was on the 25th. I am not from Madrid, so I traveled there twice, a week prior to the appointment, to get the medical exam done, and a second time for the interview. The medical examination took around 2 hours total, they will give you directions to a second location about 20 minutes away, for the x-ray. In the embassy, I spent less than 2 hours.

Overall, the whole process went very well. The interview it self took around 10-15 min, they will call you 3 times by your number. First to check the paperwork, the second time to take your fingerprints and the last step is the interview. I promise It is nothing to worry about, they asked very basic questions and every one that I encountered was very nice.

Just make sure to have all the paperwork in order and to get your medical examination with enough time for the embassy to receive the results.

They will keep your passport and send it through post, if you haven’t yet, you must register and provide the address before the interview. I received my passport at home, with the visa yesterday! 🥳 It only took over a week to arrive. I will be, finally, reunited with my husband on the 15th 🫶🏻

I wish you all the best!! 🍀🤞🏼

    Kind regards,
    Sarah

Hi Sarah-I wanted to thank you for your post here before but I have had some problems accessing Visa Journey. I really appreciate all the information you posted. It has helped a lot. My husband's interview is on Tuesday. I will let you know how it goes. I hope you're on your way to reuniting with your husband.

    Sincerely,

    Alexis

Hi Alexis! I hope you are doing great 😊

Today we have received the appointment for the interview!! It will be on the 25th of April.

I hope you get yours soon! 🤞🏼

    Kind Regards,

    Sarah

Hi Sarah-Thank you so much for all of the information you and other have posted. We got our interview today scheduled for May 23rd. Very exciting! I was thinking I'd be a month behind you and I guess I was right. Madrid does seem to do things in an orderly fashion lately.

Hi all, my wife (beneficiary) and I (petitioner) just got her CR-1 interview appointment at the Madrid consulate. However, we recently moved out of Spain at the beginning of this year (I got a new job in the US, she temporarily returned to her home country while we finished waiting for the interview, neither of us are Spanish but both had residence permits). We will return to Spain to do her interview as our residence permits are still valid, however, we no longer have a permanent address or phone number in Spain. Has anyone had a similar experience, and how did you get around issues such as visa delivery? Can the visa be picked up or will it only be mailed?

Hi- Congratulations on your interview date. Can you tell me when you were Documentarily Qualified? I was looking at your timeline and I noticed that you had a request for a document after everything was approved. I am waiting for my interview and was DQ'ed on 1/25 but then I saw that they were requesting another document which I submitted. It still says documentarily qualified. Was that what happened to you?

  4. Hi Sarah-Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. Thank you for letting me know. I was about to say you have no idea how much I appreciate this, but you probably do have some idea. I really really appreciate this information and it helps me know how close I might be. I will make sure to post when I have news about our interview. I hope everything goes well for you in the interview and beyond.

    Sincerely,

    Hi Alexis,

    Congratulations in getting DQd!

We are still waiting for an interview date, hoping to hear something soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I haven’t found any other thread for Madrid, so the only guidance I have is Melissa’s.

As soon as I get any news I will share with you here.

    Best of luck!!

Hi again! Thanks for your reply! I hope you get your appointment soon. I think I'm about 3 weeks behind you. Our DQ date was 1/23. I haven't found much information about recent interviews. I will let you know if I find anything in other forums. I'm sure you'll have news before I do.

    Sincerely,

    Alexis

Hi Sarah-Have you received an interview date yet? We were just DQ'ed on the 23rd so I guess we've got a bit of a wait in store.
