Hello All,
Can anyone assist me I received a denial for to Remove conditions on Residence, for failing to appear for biometrics. The problem is that I NEVER recieved the letter with the appointment location or dates. I'm certain that the address is correct since I haven't worked which leaves me to conclude that it either delivered incorrectly or is still lost in the mail. I futhermore I am unable to work, travel or what appears to be anything. I have approached a lawyer but am uncertain if the additional cost will get anywhere, also not sure of the quality of the lawyer. If anyone out there knows of a good immigration lawyer that resides in Houston that would be ever so helpful. Meanwhile I realize that I must act fast and file an I-290B Notice of Apeal or Motion. Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks so much!

Hi All,
I'm not sure if I've done this all wrong but I didn't think that I had a valid reason to apply for a SSN card and reading through all the other related comments I haven't had any problems opening bank accounts or adding myself to the rental appartment. The only challenge I have had is applying for a drivers licence, but it clearly states that getting a drivers licence is not a valid reason. What is the challenges if I wait until I have my EAD card since I will need to change the status anyway?
Thanks in advance.

Hello All,
I have read through all the discussion topics relating to importing a car but yet I'm still a little confused on what I could be doing.
When I crossed the border at Blaine Washington I stated that I would like to import my vehicle that I had my letter of compliance but border agent was of no help and told me that I could not do it there that I had up to a year to do so and would need to import my vehicle at my new residence with is in Boston, MA.
From what I've read this leaves me to having to go to a CBP office most likely because of the convenience means that I will need to go to Logan Airport, and therefore I hope not to receive similar abuse or be as reluctant as others.
I have a 2004 Honda Civic and have received my letter of compliance it states that my vehicle complies with EPA emission standards applicable for this year and model vehicle, at time of manufacture; however, it does not have U.S. EPA emissions labels. Will I need more documentation for importing qualifications or will the letter be suffice? The other question I have is with regards to the instrument panel? Do I need to convert my instrument panel to Miles per Hour even though the panel has smaller conversion displaying the Miles per Hour?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Class of admission is: K-1 according to your timeline.Departure date can be "TBD" and a valid reason in family based cases is "To travel be able to visit family"Thanks, I will give it a try!
Could anyone possibly be able to help me with one more question? What do they mean in the information about you, when they say "Class of Admission"?
Thanks again,
Clare

Hi All,
Could someone lend me some assistance with regards to the I-131 form and it's intention?
I'm applying for my AOS and within the documents there is the I-131 which seems to allow the applicant traveling authorization, however reading through the document has lend me to absolute confusion.
It appears as if I need to have a valid situation to grant me authorization, when I was hoping that this form would allow me to have the option to travel home (Canada) if need be prior to Green Card approval. In truth I do not have any real immediate intention of traveling home but if the option was open to me I would like to have the possiblity.
Could I still complete the I-131 form or is this not it's intention? If I can complete this form how do I answer "Part 3" with my intended departure date, when I do not have one?
Thanks in advance

Hi All,
Could someone please be more clear with regards to obtaining the Police Certificates for the K-1 Visa? The Check list states tat I need to secure from each locality where I have resided for the past six months or more since attaing the age of sixteen. I should state that I'm from Canada and have only lived in one province BC. I've been told different things from difference RCMP locations, one office said I need a form from each and every city/town I've lived at and another said that I only need one from the place I reside as the registry searchs all of Canada for my name and birth date. I currently have the one from the place that I reside which states "This certifies that a search based on the above name and date of birth, failed to disclose and such person with a record of criminal convictions in the national repository for criminal records in Canada." RCMP GRC 1868. Can any confirm if this is all I need?
Thx

Thank Jen, but Anne is correct I tried to set up notifications like I did throughout the other processes but because my receipt number was not in the data base I could not do so.
Thanks for your support
