Feels great to actually post news about IL in the mail!
District office - Seattle, WA

Interview letter received - June 20th, 2008
Interview scheduled for August 25th, 2008
Yay!

Call me paranoid, but I didn't make any plans for any vacation until that FP letter came in the mail. Afterwords, I was anxious about making any plans more than a month in advance anticipating my IL.

Congratulations to all who have received and/or passed their interviews!
So good to see the October thread getting active. I do think that NSC and my Seattle office are not extremely
efficient judging by the fact that I still have not heard from them after my fingerprinting appts months ago.

Today I called USCIS and got both good news and bad news.
The bad news is that my application was ready to be sent to the local USCIS office, except that I am stuck in the FBI name check.
The good news is that the told me that they are going to go ahead and forward the application to the local office, and they will proceed when the name check is complete.
So now my progress is as follows:
10/10/2007 - Mailed N-400
10/12/2007 - Delivered to NSC
10/26/2007 - Priority Date
10/26/2007 - Receipt date
11/02/2007 - NOA receipt Notice Received
01/15/2008 - Called USCIS. FBI name check in progress. Application package forwarded to local USCIS office
So you have not even been fingerprinted and they are already running a name check on you?
They told me as soon as FBI name check is complete the local USCIS office will send me some appointment notice. I did not quite understand because of line noise, but I guess fingerprinting will be right after the name check.
On the other hand, I read that FBI uses fingerprints for the name check. I'm kind of confused. I did fingerprints for another application a while ago, maybe they used those fingerprints.
Our timeline is very similar, that's why I was wondering about the status of your case. I did, however, get fingerprinted on Jan 4th and haven't heard anything back yet (nor do I expect them to work so fast).

From all the posts I have seen, it seems like oath is scheduled 2 weeks after the interview. Good luck!
