  1. good luck! someone posted a US based number on another thread where you can call and ask about the status of your case giving them your case number, i might try that too. it took a month after i sent back our RFE that our I-130 petition was approved. i bet you will get a letter very soon.

we are still waiting for the interview letter. i'm getting more and more anxious!

My case has taken too long compared to you lot,

    24 Apr 2009 - Send the application I130

    1 May 2009 - received the NOA1

28 May 2009 - Request for additional documents recived from embassy.

    20 Jun 2009 - document posted.

24 Jun 2009 - embassy received via the recoded delivery.

We are still waiting after that; Is this too long ? Do i need to do some thing?

    thanks you

  2. I was just curious to see how many other people had filed for a CR-1 visa, everyone from the UK seems to be filing for the K-1's

I'm sure my wife and I aren't the only one's and it would be great to hear from other people in the same boat as us.!

We first filed in november '08 and NVC recieved all our paperwork on the 19th of May so we're just waiting for NVC to finish with our stuff and forward them to London.

    me too 01 may 09

    no noa2 yet.

london looks busy or they dont like me :(

  3. Hi

I have filed for green card for my husband in May this year. We have got the NOA1 and a request for affidavit which was send to them in July this year. Not sure why it is taking this long. I want to see if there are others who have filed during the same time and what there status is.

Also do US embassy email you before the send out the package, as the post in my are is pretty ####### we keep getting mail from wrong address.

    Any help would be great

  4. Hi there,

Just need some help on apply for a spouse base Green Card?

I am married to a US citizen, for the past 2 years we are living in UK and are in no rush to go to USA. Green Card is just a option for us. I want to apply for the Green Card as soon as I can, so my question is can i apply for a Green Card straight not the K-3 visa. Or I have got the wrong end of the stick.

    Any help is great thanks.

  6. When responding to an RFE, it is critical to provide exactly what is requested and to mail in the envelope provided. Did you do both? If not, what was requested exactly? Why did you not use the envelope or mailing instructions provided with your RFE?

Please stick to the topic. OP is asking for advice. NOT to be scolded!

I am sticking to the topic and need further information before providing additional advice. It's possible the OP "did both" or not. I need to know before advising further. Get it? There's obviously a problem. It must be identified before it can be solved.

your question makes perfect sense. and for good reason. its a lot easier to give quality help when you are better informed.

I did send the required document in the envelope provided but , they say they never received it. I am not sure what should i do. I put a serves request that's when i knew that they are still waiting for the documents for me. i am confused and worried it is been 1 and a half year since i filed the application.

Can i send the document again? or i should ask USCIS to send me the REF again?

If i can send the doc's How should i send it so it can reach my application.

    Regards

    Saif Shaikh

  7. Hi there! You will get a letter explaining what they need in a few days....don't fret! Its pretty normal.

I had 3 so if you need any help feel free to ask. :)

    All the best!

    Hi

I have got a REF, they don’t recognize my marriage certificate so I had to get married again in court of MI in USA, I had send this certificate to them 3 times they did not receive it, I am worried what do I do?

Any special way or form I need to use to reply to the REF?

  8. Hi

I got married to my husband back in April 2006 in UK,

    • we filed the application in July 2007

    • First we applied for I130 form

    • then we got the NOC 1

    • then we filed the I129,

    • after which we got NOC 1 for this,

    • after this we got a request for evidence, We sent them the new marriage certificate issued by a court in MI.

    • They kept quite (did not acknowledge receive the letter, so we call again)

    • Now we had to send the evidence again.

    • By now I send them this marriage certificate 3 times 2 times by post (one registered and one unregister (first time)) then send them as fax. After waiting for 2 months we are still getting a letter that they need evidence of the marriage (after a serves request).

I am so frustrated that I want to start all over again a fresh start this time. Can this be done?

I am thinking of hiring an attorney to do this for me. Will this be a good idea? Any suggestion on this please?

When you get a request for evidence or REF does it have a form or something that must be sent to them (USCIS) with the evidence which will tie the evidence to my application?

Any help or suggestions will be great.

    Regards

Thanks for the reply, we called misinformation line on 14 Jan 2008 they sayed to wait as there system is not updated yet  is this the same country that send a man to Moon  , after we get the NOA2; they send me a packeg and in it are the instructions on what to do next; Right?. what was your waiting time at the embessy in London( 1 Billion weeks..)

You are having your interview in the next 17 day if i am correct all the best for the interview, and please do let me know what Happens.

    Thanks

    Cheers.

My journey has been like this since approval:

    * Once it was approved, it took 3 weeks for CSC to mail the petition to the National Visa Centre.

    * Once at the NVC, it was there less than a week before being sent to the embassy.

    * A couple of weeks after that I received the packet 3 from the London embassy.

    * Sent all the required forms back to them within a week of receiving it.

    * Interview date is almost 2 months from the date they received all the paperwork back.

Once you're out of USCISs clutches, it really is a much much smoother journey :) 2-3 months is the average waiting time for an interview in London though :)

Thank you for your reply and all the best.

  10. Nothing for me either. I called the CSC and they told me I was in extended review (ie - background search). I calmly asked for the supervisor and told them I work for a large defense company and have clearances, so there is no way I'm in extended review. The supervisor admitted my file has not been looked at yet but was assigned to an officer. I was told the same thing 6 weeks ago. Only in a government position can you take 6+ weeks to complete assigned work.

Still waiting, but being very noisy about it. Sending letters to senators, congressmen, the US attorney general, the president, first lady, Comptroller General of the GAO, etc.. I know it's useless for my case, but if everyone starts doing the same, by the time we do our Adjustment of Status, or remove the condition on our spouse's green card, there may be new faces in charge at USCIS. Wishful thinking.....

we should invite more people to this forum, to discuss.

    I want to start the K 3 visa file between 9 July 07 to 21 July 07;

Any one has got there NOA2 for I130 and there Progress.

I am getting too eager

    Please lets help each other

Hi we have similar time, Im wating yet

Me with you on I130 on 13th June 2007; No Reply with the NOA2, They do things at there own pace

  11. Hello there,

I am from London,UK and also have filed for a K3 on 13th June 2007, got the two approval letter conferming that my app. was recived, nothing since then it has been 7 months :( .

Is it getting late for all or its just me? What happened about your case?

    Regards

    Well wisher.

There are quite a few people in your shoes at the moment :(

Those that filed in June/July were hit by the huge influx of petitions trying to beat the fee increase. Due to the massive number of additional petitions USCIS were snowed under. We don't really know what impact this will have on processing times, especially as all of these petitions are now at/hitting their 6 months limit. Only the next couple of months will show how much extra delay petitioners will experience.

The misinformation (customer server) line is telling people to wait a further 30 days when they phone to enquire about petitions but yours in now at 7 months from the receipt date (which USCIS have stated they will honour) so it can't hurt to phone up and ask if they have further information.

    Best of luck,

    Ha

Yes we should all stick together and provided moral support (and some light hearted competiveness perhaps? :) )!

My husband (oh I love saying that :) !!!) posted I-130 for me and the children on 23rd May  . He is not able to check the mail regularly for the next couple of weeks so I am just going to relax about it all for 2 weeks! I already have the I-129f stuff put together!!

Best of luck to you all! I'll keep you posted

    Emma
