So here's my question: how long does the appointment letter take for the beneficiary to receive?
Its been just short of 4 weeks since the date on the letter I (petitioner) have received, and my wife's heard nothing from the embassy yet.
I'm not too worried, as I scanned my letter and emailed it to her, and also sent her copies of the embassy specific interview information (interview instructions, medical) so we're taking the neccessary steps... just have the jitters, i guess...
Thanks

Interview for Dec 4th
Packet mailed out today -
Thank God for VJ!!!!
Good luck to all,

Ugh, so it seems that if you were approved in the past week, you won't get an interview date until "the second week in November" for a Dec interview date - anyone else hear this?

So,
DS-230 was received at NVC on 10/15, entered into processing on 10/17, and approved on 10/22 - just called in today and found out!
Out of NVC guys - best of luck to all

So, i called in today to see if my I-864 was accepted and the lady said yes, it was fine.
Just FYI to everyone... the "required" 3 years of 1040's and W-2 is subjective - i sent in the I-864EZ with only my 2007 tax info + employer letter + paystubs, and it was fine [as it states in the I-864 documentation] - to be perfectly honest, i think it only matters if you don't make enough to be able to provide support... I guess, anyone with a decent salary should be fine.
[i for one could not find my 2005 W-2's, which is why I decided to wing it with only 2007 paperwork]
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Santiago

So - seems the email submission of COA is taking about 5 business days for everyone... mine was accepted on 9/26 - IV bill generated and paid too. Crazy how doing everything online speeds this up tremendously
Like another poster, just waiting on the docs from the wife now for the DS-230

Yeah, I was touched, too. I was really surprised!! I've been checking on here today to see if I was the only one. Glad to know I wasn't because I was really puzzling over if it was just a fluke or not. Maybe they really DO have some people working there today, huh?
Same here... fingers crossed!

/bump for updates. Things are moving along nicely. See it here.
Delicia,
First and foremost - great job on the spreadsheet, its exactly what I was looking! Just FYI, the link you have in the previous post leads to a "not authorized to view this doc" error; however, the link in the original post still works.
Cheers,

Appointment Letter questions?
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures

Yeah, this is effectively what I did... terrible service though:
"Consular section only open Mon-Thurs from 12:00 to 1:30PM"... what a joke
I'm not completely freaked out if the letter doesn't come... but still shocked by the incompetence of the Embassy/Consulate.
