  1. Hello Everybody,

My fiancee just had his interview and got the visa. He will be coming to LA in 2 weeks and I want to get going on his AOS. I had read somewhere in these forums that upon entering the US, he could ask the customs agent for some EAD stamp which would allow him to work for 90 days until the AOS goes through. Anyone know about this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sonia

  2. Just got of the phone with my fiancee and he got his visa in Naples!!!! It took from 8 am until 3:30pm for anyone who was wondering. Any advice on how I can help with his transition? I think I am totally ready but I would like to hear from anyone, especially some Italian nationals, who have already made the move to the US.

    Happy Valentines Day!!!

  3. Hey Everybody,

So pardon my ignorance but what is a NOA2? We have recieved our NOA and also the letter stating that the 797approval was forwarded to Naples. Now we are waiting for the packet and interview. We are really sad, tomorrow morning I leave Italy to go back to LA because school starts next week. Although I am thankful to have had 3 weeks together, the thought of being seperated again is almost too much to take. I know ya'll understand. Anyways we finally got through to someone with a pulse when calling the consulate in Naples and even though he was just the operator he gave us some disheartening news. The Visa office there only operates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 2 and 4 in the afternoon!! To me it sounds incredibly ridiculous.

  4. Haha - FFVIII - your avatar is of the two main characters from the game Final Fantasy 8 :)

Ah yes! I haven't played many video games since the first Call of Duty.Hehehe Nevertheless I should have known. Really I chose the avatar because we kinda look like them.

I am going bananas people! I am in Italy and am flying back to stinky LA next Tuesday ALONE. :protest::protest: No word from Naples about our packet :crying: We'll be calling again today and at least we are getting a headstart with the forms that I've downloaded.

A toast!!!! May we all be approved ASAP!!! Chin Chin :jest:

  5. Am I right in thinking you are going to be in SoCal? AND you have a FFVIII avvie?!?! What part of SoCal will you be in? Really properly LA? What part? I'm going to be about 90 mins away from LA but it's nice to know I won't be alone there!!!

Yes, We are in the Sherman Oaks section of Los Angeles. I am not hip to what a FFVIII avvie is. Lemme know!

 Hey you guys! We filed at the end of June and it was received on July second (Can we be down?). We are waiting to get our packet from Naples. Currently I am sitting in my fiance's living room outside of Venice Italy going bananas because it seems we should have gotten something by now and from what I've read on these forums the folks at the Naples embassy are on a slow roll, Yikes! Any advice as to how we can at least get info from them about if they've received the Approval from NVC (which was mailed to them on DEC 14th) without calling their 1.50 Euro a minute hotline? I know how long I have had to wait in cue in the states and the thought of racking up a bill in Euros is...well...bananas.

    Kind regards,

    Sonia

Yes, I believe you can call the Department of State 202-663-1225 x1 x0. I used Skype to call fom the UK.

Thanks so much! Really appreciate it.
