WAHOOO!! We got our approval email tonight!
On September 14, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
Someone please update the list to reflect this! We never could get it formatted right on our computer.
Thanks!

No news from us.. we still can't even see our case online yet....
Any news? I hope we start having some movement from CSC and VSC soon. Good luck everyone that is still waiting.
-
Hey random question...when can I expect to be able to see our case status online.. it keeps saying "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." My husband had his Biometrics appointment this past Tuesday.

Wahoo! Congratulations!

We finally got our Biometrics letter... It's scheduled for 8/24/2010 .. if someone wants to update our timeline :-D I can't seem to ever get it to format correctly..

Hello!
Good luck to you both! My name is Nicole, and I am the USC. My husband Marco and I have been married for a little over 2 years.........The crying, begging, etc won't stop.. I can promise. Everytime we go visit Germany, I feel like I'm a horrible person for taking him away........but at the end of the day we know we are happy and did the right thing.. People will get over it and realize you have to live your life... just give it some time!

We mailed the package on June 29th, hence why I put us in the June filers.. our NOA1 is dated July 6th.. so I guess I don't know where we belong!
KitEEgirl - congrats for completing one more step.
Should she not be shifted to July filers ?
-
We received our NOA1 today...but the number isn't showing as a valid case when I check the status... Can this take a few days?
-
Well they cashed our check but I can't make out the EAC number that was written on the check... still waiting for the NOA1 to arrive in the mail!
-
I can't get the list to format correctly when I try to reply. I suppose I don't have the Rich Text Editor on??? but not sure how to change it..
Anyways, we are mailing our package tomorrow to the VSC... if someone would be so kind to add us to the list!
Thanks,
Nicole

Good luck everyone, we are mailing our package tomorrow!

We are about a month away from our NOA2, so I am starting to prepare for the interview at the Frankfurt consulate.
I am wondering about the proof of an ongoing relationship, especially since I have read on here and in other places that they do not look too closely at this point if the beneficiary is from a Visa Waiver country (in my case, Germany).
I have logs that show my calls to my Fiancee via skype to her home phone number, they go back six months (eight months by the time of the interview). And I have about 550 emails in my Mailbox from her, spanning about 18 months.
Will that be enough? I am somewhat reluctant to show them more than that (i.e. printouts of full mails or letters), the actual content of many of those emails is pretty personal, the same applies to the letters and cards.
What did you show as proof? (see poll above). I`d appreciate if only people from Visa Waiver Program countries (especially Western Europe / Germany) answered the poll.
Thanks
Topaz
My husband brought a bunch of evidence that he didn't use at the interview. We had a whole booklet together with passport stamps, pictures, flight itineraries, letters, snail mail, chat logs...and they really didn't look at anything.. just asked him some basic questions and that was it....
-
Not to worry... My husband and I got an email from the USCIS last week, that was dated August 28, 2008......
I guess they somehow get caught up in the system...
-
Congratulations!!!!

As long as your co-sponsor meets the income requirements for them self and your fiance, it doesn't matter what your particular income is. The co-sponsor does not have to support you and your children, just the foreign fiance.
Settle down, relax, and work on getting yourself a job. You are not going to have to refile as long as you have a co-sponsor. If your co-sponsor doesn't make enough money, get a second co-sponsor, there is nothing wrong with that. There are several people that apply for K-1 Visas that are students and don't have any income. There family will be the sponsor... so you will be fine!

You have everything you need. The Indian passport will get you into India and your green card will get you back in the U.S.
Good luck!
I am green card holder and i want to go to india for 15 days do i need visa to enter in india (i still have indian passport) or do i need visa to enter back in US ???thanks in advance

Hello. I am the USC and my husband (from Germany and has a GC) was able to start school immediately after he received his GC. For his University, by marrying a state resident, you immediately receive the right to in-state tuition. He's in his 3rd semester now and it hasn't been a problem at all.
-
Welcome!
Unfortunately money rules the world.... just some tips.. look for tickets in the off season to help save money.. Last time I went to Germany, my fiance at the time (now husband) only paid $350 for my round trip ticket. Unfortunately right now ticket prices aren't at their best prices.
Where in Germany is Marc? My husband Marco lived near Duesseldorf.
Good luck to you!

Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time... We went through the same thing when my husband first moved here. We live in a small town in TN.... He never was able to find a job so he decided to go back to college for a 2nd degree...Fortunately enough for us, I make OK money and we can get by...
What did your husband do in Germany?
-
My husband did NOT get his translated. Don't worry, you'll be fine!

Hello.
Would you like me to look at your resume? I am an electrical engineer and sometimes if the resume isn't emphasizing the right things, it gets immediately thrown in the garbage. If you want me to take a look at it, let me know.
Thanks,
Nicole

As for the college thing.. the University my husband attends required either a Student Visa or a Green card.. However, once you are married to a resident of a state, you automatically become a resident of that state for tuition purposes, so you will NOT be charged international fees...You'll have to provide them with a copy of your Marriage Certificate, but that's about it.

My husband went through a very similar thing when he moved here. He was a "bankkaufmann". When he sent it in to the WES they gave him an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences. - although he had no luck finding a job and decided to go back and get a Bachelor's degree from the U.S.
Good luck!
