I returned packet 3 to the US Embassy in London via Royal Mail "not so" Special Delivery. The tracking says its arrived at its PO BOX and is awaiting collection/delivery. Is this normal? Its been saying that for a few days now

Hi,
I am applying at the London Embassy. I had my medical yesterday and i sent my IV-15 checklist to the embassy last week by royal mail special delivery. The royal mail tracking says it is at their PO BOX awaiting delivery/collection but its been there for nearly a week now, any advice?

When applying for a UK police certificate do i need to get one from all counties i have lived in or does the certificate cover the whole of the UK?
Also i was in the US for 18 months on a J-1 visa do i need a police certificate from there? or will they have already checked up on that?

Hi Guys,
I received my approval notice via email yesterday!
I thank god for answering my prayers and i hope that you all receive your NOA2's soon!!!
-
I don't wanna be the last one either! Its depressing seeing all the october filers approved but not you.
C'mon February bring us some good luck....

I would probably say don't book anything but once i started the visa process we booked a wedding date, now i am waiting for approval and praying that i get the visa in time. Its a big gamble and i hope it pays off.
Its easy to say wait until you get the visa because you still have 7 months before you have to be married but its damn hard to wait for 7 more months when you've already been waiting for what seems like an eternity for the visa.
It is a risk but if you go for it then good luck.....to us both!

Congratulations on the approval!! That is great news.
I applyed just after you so i am praying for a NOA2 soon!

Our NOA1 date is around the same time some of the others at the VSC are receiving approvals. Very, very cool. Hope to see a lot more good news around here in the meantime. It's difficult planning a wedding with this whole thing up in the air...
And hope those California slackers get moving too...

Hi everyone,
I have just stumbled across this site and its really comforting to know there are so many people in the same positiion.
I met my Fiance whilst on a J-1 Visa in the US. We dated for 18 months before i left to return to the UK. We got engaged in Spetember 2007 and filed our K-1 application in October.
Our application was received by USCIS on October 12th.
We have planned our wedding for June 14th, does anyone think that is pushing it a bit? I have heard people who applied in early October are already getting approvals.
April 25th!!!!!
