Yes, i was very shocked and so was my lawyer cause this is the first time the lawyer hears that CSC actually called a client back.....i thank God so much for the hope i was given on that phone call.....

Wow! this is so amazing! She did call me back and told me that my file is in the next batch to be adjucated......thank God!

I called again and this time I got a helpful officer and she asked all these questions and she assured me, she will call me back....so, we will see...

u know i been thinking maybe there as a computer problem yesterday at csc.........because they kept me on hold about 15 minutes to tell me about our case and as u said there is not even the normal update on our profiles...................so maybe there was an approval for u but they could not access the file to know for sure????

You might be on to something there estadia, that would explain the exceptionally low number of approvals coming out of CSC this week as well. Very interesting......

Maybe it means there's an approval and the person you talked to isn't authorized to say so? There have been several approvals recently without any on-line updates or emails. Let us know what they tell you. I hope it's good news!

I called to get an update from CSC and they DIDNT give me no update, not even the standard one, instead they asked for my telephone number and said the officer or Supervisor will call me back today. Those anyone know what this means or has this happened to anyone? Please help me. Thanks.

Ok..I used the tips on a post to talk to an officer. It worked! I spoke with officer Ordona and she was so nice! Thank God! and told me exactly where my file is at...she told me its at the consolidation process and after that it goes into processing unit and that she herself will make sure it goes to the processing unit! so cool! has anyone have more information on this consolidation process part? Thanks.

Alcohol. And I'm only mostly kidding. Actually I just stay in touch with her as much as possible, and I try to keep busy. Too much time to think means too much time to worry. Another thing that really helps to pass the time that may or may not apply to you is that I'm learning to speak her language.

Ok I dont understand Receip notice 797form date shows 9/19/07, but when i go to the website it shows a received date of 10/30/07. Why is this? Does this mean am a October filer? am so fustrated....ahhhhhhhhh!...why is california so slowwww?????????/ why? why? why?

The only date that matters is the "Received date" on your paper NOA1. It's the date just under your Receipt Number. This is the date that USCIS will use to put you in the correct order.

Don't pay attention to the website date. It seems somewhat arbitrary.

I don't know why CSC is so slow.

You and every other person on this forum who submitted in september to CSC. It will probably be another month before they get to us, so don't bother your congressman yet.

Well, I already did. I contacted all six offices of Senator Obama. Two of them responded and said they will call up the CSC to check on file. I read yesterday that when officials call the centers, the centers have i think 72 hours to respond back to the officials. Hope this puts some attention to my file because am already stepping into 5 month waiting period. I just really want to be with my luv and form my family...:-(

Yes, I know, a copy of the alien fiance's passport is not a requirement, we submitted a copy of mine because of the stamps on it. But you are right, the Consulate is well aware about the passport regulations in the country which is located, and the OP's fiance should be just fine.
