  1. Most likely asking for updated information on your marriage and other docs related to 751.
  2. Well you have that option but you could present the case to IO during the interview. If he/she wants to put your app on ice until the final resolution then you can pay it and wait for the RFE to present the final outcome. I would think they want to see it resolved before they approve. Tricky situation for sure
  3. If you have a pending court case, why did you apply for citizenship? You might get lucky and they might just MoveOn or ask you to get the case resolved before approving.
  4. I think all you need to show is that you got a payment plan with IRS and if you show payments that is very good.
  5. Nothing to do with immigration or USCIS. you can be whoever you want. Just have to go thru courts.
  6. I say go for it as its been over 5 years. You get it or you dont, and you dont know until you try.
  7. From your first post, it seems like you have no intention to work it out, only to leave her as she is not working (only few weeks? sucks to be her dude). I have to question why people get married?. This is one of the reasons why Uscis works hard to weed out fraud in the system, yet everyone say USCIS is incompetent while processing applications. Between Oct and Jan was only 3 months and you have decided to forgo the marriage and think of marrying again. Your intentions are clear as sun rises in the east. You should divorce her, pay her alimony, trash your credit as housing market is in the dumps and you are on the hook for the mortgage while she has no job. Her credit will be ruined and so will be yours as creditors will hound you for the payment. if you have kids, then its whole different ball game.
  8. I have to concur with @Mike E, DUI's are usually frowned upon and should consult a lawyer, just to be on safe side. Good Moral Character is what this goes under....
  9. It would help everyone to know what was the traffic offense? Minor offenses like speeding (NOT reckless or criminal) are usually forgiven..
  10. we are in Phx too and my wife got her interview date 55 days of her NOA date. I got the interview date 68 days after NOA date. I suspect holidays are the reason for a slight delay. But in general, PHX is taking around 2 months to send out the interview dates, and 35 days from the letter to attend the interview. If you cases are straight forward, expect to see a letter generated (no email or text for sure) on the online account in around 60+ days from NOA.
  11. You are trying on a sunday when most systems go under maintenance. Try again on a weekday...
  12. Applied for spouse and its mid.7 weeks and still processing, provided there are ton of holidays until 1st. We are hoping she will get it some time next week, full 9 weeks due to holidays.
  13. If you had submitted in Nov, then your Biometrics should already be done. Now the question is, which FO do you belong, and how fast are they doing the Interviews. if you get your interview and oath before May and then have a proof of travel in 14 days you can get expedited passport for international travel. These worry me with the FO timelines for you...
  14. Heres to hoping for a same day oath for you. Mine is on 25th and lets see how that goes in Phx.
  15. Congrats to your Mrs.. same day oath is awesome to get over the anxiety.
  16. You didn’t fully take my message. 45 days including USPassport then get the naturalization certificate back. That too if the OP can get the expedited appointment.
  17. The will most likely reschedule based on their availability not your travel plans. At least that’s what I have been reading here. Since you’re planning to go to India, you need at least 45 days to get your visa (OCI takes longer along with relinquishing Indian passport) and US passport. Maybe if you’re lucky then you can get expedited US passport be done in 10 days or two weeks after oath ceremony.
  18. Yep all reports from others indicate Houston does once or twice a month, big bang way.
  19. ohh.. probably you had applied based on 3+ years of marriage to USC. I have been reading a lot and oath ceremony in Denver is backed up to 2 weeks. Hopefully you will get lucky and they call you in soon
  20. You got RFE while you are in the interview? What was the RFE about?
  21. Based on the above article, I suspect they do once or twice a month with everyone lined up for the oath ceremony.
