As of May 12, 2023, noncitizen nonimmigrant visitors to the U.S. arriving by air or arriving by land or sea no longer need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

    https://www.usa.gov/covid-international-travel#:~:text=COVID-19 testing and vaccine,fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The CDC just changed the requirements 11/29/2023. It’s on their website that all immigrants will need another vaccine if the last dose was more than 12 months ago.

  2. Hello! My husband has an upcoming IR1 interview in January at Casablanca. However, the CDC changed the Covid vaccine requirements, stating that if the second dose was taken more than 12 months ago he would need a 3rd dose before his medical exam. The issue is he’s been to different places in his city of Agadir and hasn’t had luck finding the vaccine. Does anyone know where he could go?

    What?!

Did the lawyer made a copy of the RFE? Was the case filed online?

Did the lawyer send the exact same original and translation as before?

Yes it was online and she responded to it With our original documents. I’m just worried about the translation not having the certification. I’m so stressed

    Anywhere.

You don't even need to pay a company to do so. A friend, relative or even you can translate if them/ you are fluent.

Now, if you already paid someone to do the translation, they should fix it for free.

Omg. Apparently my lawyer had already submitted the RFE info without this. Now I’m freaking out.

Very likely that's the issue as it is a requirement for a translation: the translator must sign a certification that the English language translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.

Any idea how to fix this? Can I pay for the certification here or does it have to be in Morocco?

If you were married in Morocco, an Aakd Zawaj (Acte de Mariage) is the required marriage document for spouse visa application, as per -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Morocco.html

That is what I have. So the translator didn’t put part about it being a sworn translation and him being competent on the English version. I’m wondering if that’s an issue as well. I ordered a new translation online as well.

  7. I received an RFE yesterday stating that my marriage certificate didn’t meet country requirements. However the original marriage certificate has everything they’re asking about. It was prepared by the adoul, it has all the required signatures and judges stamp and signature. I also have the English translation! They said it needed to be an Aakd Zawaj?? I’m feeling so stressed can someone help me?

WEIRD! I have never heard of that either! With that being said, maybe they started added field offices to help with the backlog. Potomac went from 12 month processing to 16 month processing so they must be getting slammed.

I asked them why they did this and I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. They said they transferred it there to “process cases more efficiently” so I just assumed it was due to a backlog.

In December we got told that our case was "Ready for adjudication" whatever the heck that meant lol

That’s basically what they told me in January. That my case was pending assignment to an adjudicating officer and would be processed. Then 2 days ago was told it was in process and ready for review? I’m just confused.
