Hello! My husband has an upcoming IR1 interview in January at Casablanca. However, the CDC changed the Covid vaccine requirements, stating that if the second dose was taken more than 12 months ago he would need a 3rd dose before his medical exam. The issue is he’s been to different places in his city of Agadir and hasn’t had luck finding the vaccine. Does anyone know where he could go?

Then it's likely an approval notice is on its way.

Contact your congressman immediately to find out what's holding up your case.
It just went into AR2 Friday night. My attorney has the access to the online account and I haven’t heard back from her yet. But, from what I can see on lawfully it just says reviewing. If it is an approval I’m not sure how long it takes to update online.
-
Did y’all get an AR2 as well? I’ve read this can mean approval but my case status hasn’t changed?
-
Guys my case status is showing a second active review! What does this mean??

Yes. I would think that the translators sworn seal and signature would have been enough though. I can send you pics of what we sent, etc if you send me a message
I sent you a message

We had a different translation at USCIS, with the RFE, and at his interview and all was fine.
Did your English translation have the certification? Mine only has the translators sworn seal and signature…

What?!
Did the lawyer made a copy of the RFE? Was the case filed online?
Did the lawyer send the exact same original and translation as before?
Yes it was online and she responded to it With our original documents. I’m just worried about the translation not having the certification. I’m so stressed

Anywhere.
You don't even need to pay a company to do so. A friend, relative or even you can translate if them/ you are fluent.
Now, if you already paid someone to do the translation, they should fix it for free.
Omg. Apparently my lawyer had already submitted the RFE info without this. Now I’m freaking out.

Very likely that's the issue as it is a requirement for a translation: the translator must sign a certification that the English language translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.
Any idea how to fix this? Can I pay for the certification here or does it have to be in Morocco?

*** Moved from IR1/CR1 Progress Reports to IR1/CR1 Process & Procedures ***
If you were married in Morocco, an Aakd Zawaj (Acte de Mariage) is the required marriage document for spouse visa application, as per -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Morocco.html
That is what I have. So the translator didn’t put part about it being a sworn translation and him being competent on the English version. I’m wondering if that’s an issue as well. I ordered a new translation online as well.
-
I received an RFE yesterday stating that my marriage certificate didn’t meet country requirements. However the original marriage certificate has everything they’re asking about. It was prepared by the adoul, it has all the required signatures and judges stamp and signature. I also have the English translation! They said it needed to be an Aakd Zawaj?? I’m feeling so stressed can someone help me?

I am having the same problem. I received RFE for marriage certificate not meeting country requirements. Can someone please help me?

WEIRD! I have never heard of that either! With that being said, maybe they started added field offices to help with the backlog. Potomac went from 12 month processing to 16 month processing so they must be getting slammed.
I asked them why they did this and I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. They said they transferred it there to “process cases more efficiently” so I just assumed it was due to a backlog.
-
Our case was transferred to my local field office last week from Potomac. Our PD is 03/24/2022 and AR1 06/25/2022. They said they started reviewing it 03/22/2023 at the field office. I had just never heard of an I-130 being processed at a field office??
-
Hey y’all! Sooo I called USCIS today to ask an agent for an update. She said they moved our case from headquarters Friday, and we would have an update by the end of the week. I asked if that was a good thing and they said yes. Our PD is 03/24/2022 AR1 06/25/2022. Could this be an approval? I was confused with the moved from headquarters part?
-
Congrats!!! This gives me hope for our approval! We filed March 24, 2022 also in Potomac. Fingers crossed for an approval soon!

LOL. I feel like they all have different verbiage. Who knows lol
No idea. Haha! But I’ll definitely update if I hear anything!

In December we got told that our case was "Ready for adjudication" whatever the heck that meant lol
That’s basically what they told me in January. That my case was pending assignment to an adjudicating officer and would be processed. Then 2 days ago was told it was in process and ready for review? I’m just confused.

Hopefully approval is around the corner. My husband and I tried to make use of the Emma feature a lot, but we could never retrieve any useful information from it.
Honestly that’s first piece of helpful info I’ve gotten from Emma. I just hope it’s true and that we will hear something sooner rather than later. I will be sure to update!
-
I used the ask Emma feature today to check for any movement on my case. I was told “your case is ready for review.” Could this be a good thing? Hopefully that means approval is around the corner?
-
-
I’m just hoping and praying we hear something soon! I wish the same for everyone here as well! It’s a long process but we will all have our approvals soon!
-
Hey y’all! So our PD is 3/24/22 and actively reviewing as of 6/25/22. No update since then. We started in Nebraska and were transferred to Potomac. I made a congressional inquiry and they responded last week with, “waiting to be assigned to an adjudicating office and will be processed.” I am just so sick of the waiting game.
Needing some help!

The CDC just changed the requirements 11/29/2023. It’s on their website that all immigrants will need another vaccine if the last dose was more than 12 months ago.
