ok thats what we thought. Thank you!

We got our packet and looking it over and it seems that the DS-230 form that the letter from the consolate said needs to be filled out requests Spouse info? Why would this be if we are filing for a K1 thus not married?
Thanks,
Jesse

By "Non visitor" do you mean immigrant?
The answer is NO
Form I-130 directions.
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-130instr.pdfWho May Not File This Form I-130?8. A grandparent, grandchild, nephew, niece, uncle, aunt, cousin, or in-law.
I'm a tad confused. You said i could not for them as immigrant, yet it seems the I-130 says that you can do this for in-laws?
So the i-130 just establishes the relationship allowing them to then apply for a visa?
Thanks for your time

I sent off my 129F on March 28, 2008. Today I received a form called I-797C with my receipt number and such. Is this what the site calls NOA1? I'm pretty sure it is but just making sure.
I'm pretty excited a 3 day turn around as it says it was received on April 1,2008.

Yes I understand that. My question is about the birth certificate.
In canada they have several different kinds of birth certificates. She has only the small certificate. Is this acceptable or will she need to get another.

I am just starting the K-1 Process and was wondering what the Benificary will need oustide of what has been stated in the guide?
I see no mention of the police reports, or birth certificates of the benificary? My concern is that it could take her a long time to get a birth certificate if needed to prove who she is so I want to get this ball rolling asap.
Thanks,
Jesse

Totally hypothetical situation here but just trying to get some facts and options down.
Say for instance.
1. Apply I-129F
2. Fience visits and gets pregnant
3. Returns home for 3 - 4 months
4. Comes back to US as visitor and to have baby in US
Now in order to be under my insurance, I think she'd need to be my wife. So if we were to marry, could the I-129F continue or would we need to restart with a K3?
I know she'd have to return to her home to do the interview and I also understand the Issues of traveling while pregnant.
Thanks for your input

Beneficary Packet (Marriage Certificate?)
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
We are reading over the packet that the Consulate sent and under DIVORCE AND DEATH CERTIFICATES it says the following:
If you or your fiance were married previously, obtain one certified copy of your marriage certificate(s), and one certified copy of the divorce decree...
Now, I understand the need for the divorce decree, but are they asking for a copy of my marriage certificate from a previous marriage? Or is this form also used for K3 and they are asking for OUR marriage certificate? The confusion is the word certificate(s)... If it was OURS there would only be one.
Also, for my divorce decree, would a faxed copy that has the notary seal on this be considered certified?
Thanks,
Jesse
