A little good news, Louis finally has his driving permit!! We went to a big empty lot yesterday and I let him drive in circles. He did pretty good, and I have a manual car!!

I don't know him well enough to give me opinion. He is surely old enough to make his own decisions. There may very well be legit reasons for him to send her all that money. Its not my place to pry.

I tried to tell him about VJ! But he took one look at it and had information overload... kind of like my mother trying to program an answering machine!! LOL (sorry mom)

So he handed it all over to me! I don't mind helping, I just hope it turns out as well as my journey has. I must say mine went super-smooth.

It does "sound" like a scam. But in pics and stories it sounds ok to me. He is 60s, she is close to 50. So age to me seems ok, really not for me to judge. He is a super nice guy and has been married twice before, she once.

I would hope he could smell the scam. But to each his own I guess.

I am a "truster" I just hope it all turns out well for the both of them.

I have another friend whos father went through the same thing and after a few years things seem to be going quite well...

I have gone through the K1 process w/ my now husband from St Lucia.

A friend of my uncles has asked me to help w/ his paperwork for his Ukranian fiance.

He is VERY organized which is great! I am just getting everything together for him in the correct order, cover letter, etc.

He has taken 2 trips to visit fiance in the Ukraine. He also gave me some "evidence of ongoing relationship".

Now my question is he has sent her thousands of dollars via Western Union. I am hesitent to include this because it doesn't really show a relationship, just that he sends her lots of money.

What do you all think?

His journey is a bit different, both have been divorced so I am including divorce papers (hers has been translated).

I did not have to translate anything with mine, and we have never been married before.

Thanks all for your help. If you can think of anything different with a Ukranian journey... let me know!

Irie, that is extra nice of you. If he was getting anyone else to help him they might charge him more and might not care as much as you do with helping him. Maybe you could put that $500 towards T's college fund

Yes it is $455...the fee has increased for later on down in the process from $131 to like $350, once you get to the interview stage at the Embassy though....

This guys wants to give me $500 to do his paperwork. Or to make sure he has everything and send it out. I told him I could not take that money (don't tell Louis he would kill me!! LOL) He is so nice and I cannot take all that money just for helping.

This will be his 3rd marriage! He is probably my dad's age and Svetlana is same age as him, maybe a little younger. He has pretty good money and lives in the COUNTRY!! I cannot wait to read his paperwork to see how they met.

His fiance is from the Ukraine.

I am just going back and looking over k1 visa guides etc, trying to remember how to do all this. Thankfully he is VERY organized.

Where do find out how much I write the check out for? I know fees have changed and I don't want to screw his stuff up.

Ok I need some opinions

I am cleaning my system and starting a diet and exercise regime.

My cousin told me about this product and I bought it but have not used it.

Ive reseach it but dont want to be in the bathroom like crazy, but a major component is FIBER

Anyone else know any cleansing products as of yesterday I changed my diet to water fruits and vegies and minimal other stuff. With excercise

I don't know of any good cleansing products.. Louis always used "bush medicine" back home...

But.. fiber doesnt make you poop really... it makes you "regular". It can actually help with IBS, diarreah etc. So it wont make you "run for the potty"

You can get from 1 end of the island to the other in less than 2 hours.

Earlier, some of you (Irie? Dillon?) were talking about your husbands having trouble getting the permit part of driving. Did you mean that he's struggling to pass the written test?

If so, that was the one benefit of Texas's March 2010 law change requiring people under 25 to take driver's education before getting a license. The class Steven took online had quizzes at the end of each section. You needed 70% to move on & then there was a final at the end. You got 3 tries, but if you missed, you could go back & review before taking it again. The good part was, if you passed the driver's education course, that counted as the written test. Then he only had to take a driving one to get his license.

In Maine it is under 18 I think. I was 19 when I got my license and didnt take driver's ed.

I agree Louis should take a class. Driving here is so different. He doesnt understand traffic lights, signals anything...

There is 1 traffic light on all of St Lucia and it blinks constantly and no one pays attention to it!

He does have "test taking" issues. He studied alot! Read that book at least 3 times. We went over all the prep questions and I really thought he would get it!

But its like an hour later its gone... Its all those years of pot smoking, "short term memory loss"!! He doesnt believe me!
