  1. We had our GC interview today in LA and it took 20 minutes. We arrived an hour early and they took us in 30 minutes early. Our interviewer was nice. He was business like and asked a few questions from us together and separated. He asked how we met, what she cooked me for dinner, why I married outside my own race, if I thought she was honest about the marriage and not just trying to get into the USA, why she did not marry in Philippines, was this our 1st marriage, how we communicate with her English not so good, etc.

He then asked if we had any questions about the green card and process. He advised we would get the card in the mail in 90 days and that we had to reapply in the last 90 days of the 2 years window.

All in all it was a painless experience and did not give either of us cause for concern.

Can you share what documents you brought?

    Thanks!

  2. It has been like 2 weeks, but I didn't get any RFE letter. Any way I can verify if the AP I received is valid?

    Hello

I am experiencing the same thing... Is this the right AP? I got an email earlier, saying as below

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

On March 4, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, call US +1 8003755283 Call to update your address.

    What should I do????

In a few days you will receive an RFE (Request for Evidence) in the mail. Your application for your Advance Parole document will be on hold until you respond to the RFE by sending USCIS the additional information they are requesting.

  3. I have not received RFE yet, but I saw this online

    What should I do????

    Hey everyone,

I think I just received my advance parole paperwork, but it is not what I was expecting.

I have two identical pages, with form number I-512L. Is this the right advance parole document? I was expecting 3 identical pages (that's what I've seen other people say they get).

If these are the right papers, how do I use them?

    Thanks for any help!!
