  1. Does anyone know how far out they are rescheduling Visa appointments at Ciudad Juárez, Mexico? One parent is for April and the other for May. Those are two separate trips and costs are adding up. I'm not sure if it's worth it to reschedule them both to a same date or keep the existing appointments even though they are 20 days apart.

I finished filling up all the application and submitted the civil documents for my mom. I have to upload/submit my Marriage Certificate since I have to put my husband's name as household member for my financial support. I'm worried if they will look for my Marriage Certificate when my mom has her interview? since all the original copy of civil documents that submitted have to be with her on time of interview. Do I have to send her the original copy then?

I'm not entirely sure. I think I read that it can be a copy of an original. So maybe scan it and send it to her OR to always be safe, you can send her an official original copy.

Applied for both parents. Both dated 6/23/2022.

One parent got approved 5/13/2023, the other one is still processing.

Should I wait for both to be completed to do next steps, or continue each path separately?

Im not sure, I would wait if it happened to me so they could hit the consulate at the same time. Maybe read some of the experiences of people for your specific consulate to see if any had the same experience or maybe start a new forum with that specific scenario and ask what they have done.

    Hey everyone,

I applied the I-130 online for my mom who is currently living in Vietnam on June 28, 2022. The case process timeline is 1 week. My mom is recently diagnosed with colon cancer, so I want to bring her here as soon as possible to receive medical treatment. Is there a way I can expedite this process? I don't mind spending more money as long as it gets done quickly.

    Thanks.

I feel like there could be a way to request a special expedited request but I'm not entirely sure. I would recommend doing a google search and see if that exists and if so and if there is a form number, then I'm sure there is a forum for that on here or you can start one for suggestions.

  4. Just checked today, one parent's processing time says "Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You do not need to take any action at this time." My other parent shows 3 months.

I was taking a look at January 2022 Filers and they were getting approved towards the end of January - February. Also took a look at May 2022 filers and they haven't gotten anything yet. I'm going to start thinking we might not see anything for about year from filing. Here's hoping we get some action taken before June 2023.

  5. @Mill&Bill - I haven't received anything yet.

I just checked the status for my parents on USCIS.gov and One parent shows estimated processing time of 2 months (YAY!!) and the other 5 months. I really do hope that when the process one, they pick up the other because they were sent the same time. Not sure why the difference in processing if they are both in the same processing center.
