  1. Yes we too have been having the same problem it's not the phone card , because even when I call from my house phone to Morocco , I get a lot of noise and static and the phone card I buy also cuts off all the time and when it connects to the connection is awful, the phone card company told me there is still problems with all the lines and even when my husband gets on line it cuts on and off the whole time this last weekend we had a horrid time trying to talk and see each other because of the bad connection hopefully soon it will be fixed, in the mean time I am off to Morocco to see my Husband !!! :P I am so so excited I havent seen him for 7 months and that was when we got married, take care.

  2. Hello,

we too filed in October 2007 and we recieved our NOA 1 on the 17th of Jan 2008 they told us when we filed it would take about 12 to 15 weeks or so to get the NOA1 , I know it's hard to wait , but thats all you can do , they are behind still but keep the faith, dont worry we all have been there, have a good Day.

I posted a question regarding my I-130 that i submitted on the 10 of juanuary 2008, but i have not got a satisfying answer.

i really need to know if i should be getting a NOA 1 by now or i should wait a little more.

is this normal for everyone else?

do i have to call the USCIS to aquire about my petetion?

is there a way to expedite this process?

    thanks guys

We are excited to about Chicago doing the files so quickley we filed oct 15 2007 and are hoping to to be touched soon the wait is awful and we filed the I-129 before and our papers were returned then sat and exspired, I have a question if Chicago has all I-130's from california are they going to process the whole petition or just inter it in the system? because I know a couple who married same time as we did she is from Chicago and they already have an interveiw date for their visa , I heard Chicago is quick and very good. any body know anything plz let me know.

    Thanks

    Carolyn

Chicago Lockbox is where the contractor is scanning in the applications for I-130 only . After they are scanned, they will be sent back to either CSC or VSC - not in any particular order. We sent our application to TSC then it was to go to CSC but instead went to Chicago and then to Vermont. So we accured alot of USCIS skymiles.

The wait is only starting, for again, and please see other threads, August, September are still waiting for those I-797C's and they are going on four to five months -

Hang in there, but to answer you no, your I-130 does not stay in Chicago.

    Cheers

    Susie
