  1. Just checked on USCIS website. I-485 was updated today with...

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 27, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I hope everyone else will get this today too!

  2. Ok, so a few interviews but nobody had a stamp in the passport?

I have read many times that they take the I-94 from the person because with the green card there is no need for that, so this is not true right?

I would like to know if they ask for some affidavit support paper? Because we already send our when we send the package for AOS...and in the letter for the interview said for to bring that UNLESS already submitted.

Anyways...Thanks for sharing your experiences, my interview is coming soon...and I hope to have the greencard as soon as possible because it helps for to find a long term job.

    Good week

    Ali and Jeff

They did not ask for the affidavit support paper. I took a copy of my 2007 tax return and they kept that. It wasn't submitted with my I-864.

  3. Hi Seattleites Interviewees,

The interview went well, I guess.

She said she would mail the decision by mail. The interviewer was young and with a strong accent, it took me few minutes to get used to it.

She took my I-94, is that a good or bad sign? I just felt we didn't have a chance to prove we were a true couple. She barely asked any personal questions: "How did you meet? How did you decide to get married? Are you planning on having kids? Are you planning on a bigger wedding ceremony?" That was it...the rest were paperwork related.

We were way over prepared compared to everyone else in the waiting room. We had three boxes while everyone barely had a folder.

Visonhaze, was the lady who interviewed you young?

I guess the hard part is all behind us, now the waiting begins.

I think she was around 30. She did have an accent, I believe she was originally from India. My interview was the same as yours, a few personal questions but mostly paperwork related. They did not take the I-94 from me, but I know I have given them copies.

Did they take your I-94 cdn_in_wa?

  4. Our assumption was that our interviewing officer, who was very nice, was a junior officer - he was young.

I'm wondering if USCIS reviews all cases on newer officers for a time to ensure that they are following procedure?

Anyway, we're hopeful that it's just a short delay to the process.

The lady who interviewed me told me it would be reviewed either Friday or Monday. She said we should receive a letter sometime next week. I wonder if they will finally update online after approval. Haven't been touched since Bio appt.

  5. Are there any Jan 08 filers left?

Still waiting for Seattle office interview.

I am still waiting in Seattle too. They are supposed to be working on cases from late December or early January now.

    Seattle info Feb 2008 filers

I hope that link works. I will post again as soon as I receive my appointment letter. We should be pretty close together, we filed within a few days of each other.

  6. Is anyone from the Seattle area still waiting. I have not received a transfer notice. My I485 was touched once on 2/26/08 one day after bio appt, but nothing since then. My EAD was updated after I received the card but my AP was not, even though I received them both on the same day. Should I call USCIS to check? It seems like they just tell everyone to keep waiting. Thanks for any help.
