Could someone tell me if this applies to CR-1/ and householf member I-864A cases? Does my father have to have his I-864A notarized?

This is the first I would have heard of it?

In my case i had my own I-864 for myself...and then my sister was a joint sponsor but i did not count her as part of my household although we live in one house, she filled out a separate form I-864 and NOT I-864A... the forms were just signed but we didn't have it notarized......my husband had his interview july16 and he was approved...... hope this helps.....

but in DFA Manila you have to get an appointment schedule ....

i applied passport twice already (when i was single and when i got married) in DFA Manila and i didn't get any appointment in DFA. i just drop by there around 3pm and i got my passport after 3days (expedited).

The appointment system is the current policy....my husband got his passport 3 weeks ago...

My husband's visa is CR1 and he will be attending the CFO seminar...is it PRISM or PDOS?? that he needs to go to???pls help..i am pretty much sure that it's PRISM but just need a confirmation......

My wife has been putting off renewing her passport. She lives in Baguio and the nearest DFA office is in San Fernando, La Union. Someone told her it would take two months! Yikes! I found a news release from last November that said normal processing is 20 days, expedited for another 250php is 15 days. We got the NOA2 on our CR-1 and I want to move through as quickly as possible.

Anyone have any recent experience with this office?

There used to be a back log early part of this year in most provincial areas due to the newly implemented machine readable passport but DFA provincial offices has been cleaning up the backlogs and some had even resumed normal processing times again. It will be better if she will call the DFA office nearest her to check on this. Don't let her rely on someone saying this and that coz that person may have applied passport in January or February when the backlogs were at its worst.. who knows things are better @ her DFA office now.... or she could apply passport in Manila where the process is so much faster. (the new machine readable passport are all printed in manila which caused the delay few months back)

DFA Manila, standard processing is 14days, if you want to expedite it additional PHp250 and it will be ready in 7 working days....but in DFA

Manila you have to get an appointment schedule ....or everyday they take the first 500 people walk in.....but the line starts as early as 3am and they open at 7am......

WHAT ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS WERE REQUESTED AT THE INTERVIEW.

WE HAVE A LETTER FROM THE NVC SAYING ALL DOCUMENTS NEEDED WERE RECEIVED/ COMPLETED/ REVIEWED . THE LIST ALSO INCLUDES SEVERAL FORMS NOT NEEDED.

IT ALSO STATES THAT EVEN THOUGH THE APPLICANT PROVIDED THE NVC WITH A COPY OF THE DOCUMENT, THE APPLICANT IS STILL REQUIRED TO BRING THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT TO THE INTERVIEW.

WE ONLY SENT ORIGINALS TO THE NVC. NO PHOTOCOPIES!!

IS THIS SOMETHING TO BE ALARMED ABOUT???

Hello, my husband had his interview last week and Visa received today. He did bring with him copies of all the documents that we passed at NVC...just in case they asked.....He also had another NBI clearance with him...Plus all the proof of relationship.....

He said that they ONLY asked to see our pictures together.......and asked him the basic questions like when did we get married/how long we've known each other...........and he was approved.....

My husband was given an envelope by St Lukes and they placed a note in the envelope that only U.S. consul can open it.The vaccination and xray were also release to him.... THey also returned his passport to him and informed him to just bring it on his interview......... is that normal???or new procedure??

Yes, thats a normal procedure too... I met one visa applicant there in USEM during my interview with the same situation with your husband, just tell him not to open the envelope and bring all all the requirements. Everything will ok so nothing to worry.. Good luck and God bless

Hello..for my husband's plane ticket i am planning to book him a flight to honolulu via PAL and a connecting flight to LA via United Airlines....i wanted to know if Honolulu is what we are going to consider his point of entry?? is that where he would encounter all the immigration officers or would it be in LAX? Hello, my husband took his medical 2 weeks ago but was not permitted for the medical results to be released because they requested for him to get a new passport..He came yesterday to bring the new passport and also for the release of documents. FRom my understanding, St lukes keep the passport and forward it to the embassy together with the results but my husband just informed me that he was given a sealed envelope with a note outside to do not open and to be open only by U.S. consul..and was instructed to bring it at the interview....passport was also returned to him...

he informed me thAT they were doing the same to everyone that is there at ST lukes..is this a normal? is this a new procedure????

Can you leave your cellphone by Embassy security? or are they very strict on not bringing cellphone on interview?

this is one wonderful and memorable day. i would never forget how nervous iam i was shaking for real!!! i swear!!! kakaiba ang feeling!!

i left the house around 4:30 am (walang tulog! excited!!!) i got there really early and decided to get coffee at mcdo and walk back to the embassy to realease all the tension building inside me!!! hahahahahaha! then around 6:30am i fell in line the guard asked for my appointment letter and confi letter and valid ID and then i went inside did the bag xray thing and went to immigrant section took a seat and after a while we fell in line at the number booth. dont forget to fill in EVERYTHING in ur DS forms or else u will be asked to step out and fill them up and begin at the end of the line again.. once u are given a number wait for that number to flash on the Q-board with the corresponding window number.also listen to the names being called for the finger scanning. when my number was flashed i was assigned to window 25 the pre screener was a woman on her 30's she was really nice (don't forget to always flash that smile!!) she wasked me who my petitioner is and where did we met, specific site online where we met, if this is our first marriage, if my huband have kids..and she asked me for my BC,MC,ITR, W2's,employment record and AOS. i offered her my husband's bank accounts and my withdrawal slips and everything else she said the ones she got is enough and she asked me for pictures.. then she told me to take a seat and wait again for my number to flash again for the consul interview. i waited for more than 2 hours!!! coz there were only 3 windows open at the beginning but then around 10:30am 2 more windows opened and there it was faster!! i was directed to window 27. my CO was a guy on his 40's he was really nice he greeted me first! LOL! and then asked me if iam hanny perez and asked if whats the name of my petitioner,then he asked me if how long were we married, if we have kids, if my husband have kids...also he asked me if i ever went out of the country and then he flipped on our pictures and gave it back to me..and he started typing on the computer (he types so slow!!!) then i offered him our wedding photos since my album was too big i had to flip the pages. he recognized my husband's manager when he was still working for JUSMAG! (i dont know if its a plus!! LOL) and he admired our wedding pics he said it was very nice...then he started typing again and after a while he said, well ur documents looks good! no problem at all, u may now go back to ur seat and wait for ur name to be called one last time just for a few minutes!!! LOL! he may have noticed im already starving! hahahahahahahahaha!!! they called my name on window 37 and i thought i saw a white slip being stapled on a pink slip! damn! my heart went pounding again!!! hahahahaha! and when i looked at it it was my appointment letter!!! thank GOD!! He is really good!!! i love this day!!!! the sleepless nights are over im ready to fly to the love of my life!!!!

i went to delbros filled up the delivery form and paid it and i went out of there 11:30am im done!!! i took my phone from my companion and called my husband tried to tease him i got denied and he was like for a denied person u sound so happy! LOL! i dont know how to conceal my happiness i was teary eyed!! it was jsut too overwhelming!!!then i called ann thanked her for all her instructions which i really used!! ( i promised to call her first but i had to make her 2nd to my husband!) then i called my family.....

thank u so so much VJ members for everything i know i would've been lost without u all.....everybody is a big help on my long journey now i cant wait to be with my wonderful husband and grow old with him.....God bless all those who are still waiting...prayer is really powerful!!!! Had my interview today. I was given a pink slip and a white paper which the CO marked with X the following:

1. Submit Notarized Letter of Intent from Petitioner dated after today's date.

2. When you have ALL the required documents marked above submit them at Window 17-20. . . . .

You may also submit the documents via commercial service.

Our passports were returned to me. Do we still have a chance to be approved?

'WHAT DOES LETTER OF INTENT MEANS?

After the medical does St Lukes hold the applicants passport and submit it to the embassy or it gets returned to the applicant?
