  1. My AOS and IV fee bill invoices were generated simultaneously and I can see them on the online payment website, just 10 days after my I-130 is approved. I paid both immediately. It took 2 days to clear the payment, after which you can print out the bar-code cover sheet and use them to send out the AOS and DS230 package. I expect to finish my NVC stage soon. By then it will only take me one month since the approval of I-130.

good job iceman  , your update is also going to help others who are on the same boat

  2. Hi vjer's!

We just called the NVC today and found out that they already generated our ds230..now my question is it ok if we mail our ds230 right away using james shortcut ? we are planning to mail it overnight..thank's for the reply...

My suggestion to you is to wait for the letter because that is going to have the scan-bar-code sheet that you need with your other documents to avoid any further delay.

  3. Thank you, your reply makes me releasing panic. I prepared my DS-230. Do you think that I can send my DS-230 packet now or I wait for the letter?

    thanks

    No problem,

You should wait for the letter because that is going to have a scan-bar-code sheet, which you are going to need to avoid any further delay.

  4. I sent IV bill on Apr 24 and I-864 Apr 28. I called NVC and got the answer which said that my packet missing and incomplete, a letter be sent on May 8. I dont know whether I can send my DS-230 or I have to wait to receive the letter. I got confirmation receipt for IV bill as well as AOS bill. Please give me some advices. Thanks

    Hello Niceman,

your case is identical as mine, however yesterday I received the letter and the missing document is DS-230. They advise me to go to http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html and download the form and send it to them. This is a pretty good link to give you a better idea of what you need to do. If you have further questions please don't hesitate and wish you all the best

  5. any news?

did any of you early august filers call uscis to ask what is up?

a processing times update is already overdue at USCIS website and it should be coming soon, I think we're going to to be passed the date they'll post :/

Well, it's been a long time for you, and you should have heard something by now, I hope you have already contacted senator's office and uscis and speak with some immigration officer not cust serv

  6. Per CRIS, both I-129F and I-130 were approved on Mar 13. Filed I-130 on Aug 16/07 and I-129F on Sep 28/07 - to CSC.

Touched on Nov 9 (presumably to pair the petitions) and again on Mar 7 - approval Mar 13.

211 days from 130 submission to approval / 167 days from I-129F submission to approval.

I actually got two emails today and the online case status shows "approved" for both petitions.

I guess now the NVC wait begins...

Still don't know definitively that this gets us a K3 vs CR1 - but am hopeful.

    CONGRATS :thumbs::dance:

  7. When you call the USCIS use the option for the already approved petitions. I believe it is optoin 1, but it has been since November since I used it. This will get you past the mis-information CSRs.

Yes, I usually use the option for already approved petition, but then it still goes to the CSRs, I can't avoid them

  8. my I-130 got approved on 21st Feb, got the Noa2 on 27th, have not got anything yet since then...... may I ask what did the cust serv rep tell you when you tried to call?

well i called couple of times even one time got escalated to some L2 cust serv and both times after finding out that I have applied for my spouse, they told me I-130 is going to take about 6 years at least, since you have also applied for I-129F therefore wait for that to be approved and then it's going to be faster because of K3 visa

last month when i spoke with immigration officer she told me i don't need to worry about my I-129F, since I-130 is approved, and I-129F is going to be closed administratively

  9. Hello all,

As I have mentioned in several threads about my I-130 that got approved on 02/19/08 but still haven't reached NVC yet and it's been about 4 weeks, and my I-129F is still on pending for approval at USCIS.

Here I want to start a new thread for those people whose I-130 or I-129 (but not both) case has been approved but hasn't reached NVC yet. I just want to get an idea if I am not the only one waiting on this :crying:...

Also I have tried to call USCIS couple of times but cust serv rep won't let me talk to immigration officer and give me all kinds of smart info that I really don't want to know. Is there a way to call immigration officer for approval cases without involving the cust serv reps
