  1. Hi there,

Our case is taking a long time to process, so I heard that it is a good idea to make an INFOPASS appointment on the USCIS website. So I went there, put in our information, but when I get to the calendar to select a date, the calendar looked like this (in both internet explorer AND firefox):

Am I doing something wrong??? Or does this just mean that there ARE no available appointments? Thanks!

  2. Hi there, I went to the uscis website today and looked into an appointment on INFOPASS and when it got to the calendar of dates for August and September, ALL of them were blocked. It would not let me select a date. When I tried hitting CONTINUE, it said please select a date, but it was impossible to select any date since they seemed to all be blocked. Has anyone else experienced this? What am I doing wrong? Or are all those dates just unavailable?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi there, I haven't really posted but I am now! I have seen a few that already have card production ordered! Thats great!! Congrats to you! :)

Of course, ours is going to take longer like it has right from the beginning. We applied May 22 and we JUST got an RFE on Saturday asking for 12 months worth of bank statements. I am relying on my assets since I do not make enough money to meet the income requirement because I have been going to school for the past year and a half. I have enough to meet the 5x 125% of poverty level requirement in the bank, and have had that amount for the past year. I didn't know to include 12 months of bank statements, originally I just included a letter from a bank officer stating my total deposits for the year and how much is in my account presently. We mailed back the bank statements today. We were hoping to have his EAD by sometime in August, but now it looks like it will be delayed til September. He's beginning to get a little antsy just sitting around, he's more than ready to start working!

I am just glad for this part of the process he's here, and it isn't anywhere near as stressful as it was before he got here, but its still a bit frustrating waiting for the government wheels to turn.

Hope everyone is having a nice summer!

  4. Yeah a leave of absence would be better, my fiance did that when he came here, and had a letter with him saying that his job was expecting him back on a certain date to finish a project. That way if they questioned anything upon his arrival in the US, he had a letter to show that he had a reason that he had to go back. They did not question anything, but I think it is a good idea just in case.

  5. Hi there,

    Ours said:

    1. Pending Administrative Processing.

That's it. I sent you a personal message too.

Try not to worry, I know I made myself totally sick thinking they were going to say "not approved" when that isn't what happened. Just read my thread about it to see how crazy I got! I was in a TOTAL panic, I could not eat, sleep, or think straight until that consular officer called us and said "approved." I am sure once they get those police records you'll get the approval.

  6. 249 days? Ours took 246, so you might just be pushing it. I might book certain things that you can put down a deposit on just to reserve them, but I certainly would not pay full out for anything yet. Before I knew he had his visa the only things I booked were the hall where we plan to marry and I got my wedding dress. Now that I know he has the visa in hand, I'm busily booking everything else. Good luck and I hope things go quickly and smoothly for you so you can still have your wedding on your planned date.

    Jennifer :)
