  1. By "Iranian resident" do you mean you live in Iran? Or that you're a permanent resident of USA?

As for filing - since there are no consulates in Iran, you can file your paperwork in USA with the USCIS (United States Center for Immigration Services). You can download the forms from their website.

Once your case gets initial approval, it is forwarded to another department called the National Visa Center. They will determine which consulate the Iranian immigrant will go to for their interview.

If you want to file directly with the consulate, you need to go to American consulates in Turkey or UAE.

    Hello Nutty,

Thank you for your information. I live in Iran.

Actually I contacted Turkey, Cyprus and UAE for DCF but they said they do that just for the residents of their countries!

If I should go to the USA, where in the US should I file I-130? Does it depend on where I intend to live in the US?

Is it possible to send the documents for filing directly while I am outside the US? or by the aid of a friend in the US?

    Thanks

  2. Hi

I want to file I-130 for my wife. Which documents other than I-130 form should I prepare for the date of filing?

    Thanks

here is the link where u can find the info you need http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide1

    Good luck

Yes, start with the guides. The additional documentation is spelled out very well in the instructions that come with the I-130. Once you've studied the guides and instructions, please come back with your specific questions.

    Thank you,

the link was very useful. I have two questions:

#1-Form G-325A have four similar pages, should each of the petitioner and beneficiary fill all of this 4 pages?

#2-Can I send a copy of marriage certificate for the evidence of a bona fide marriage?

    Thanks

  3. No you gonna have to file in the us. You could be able to fill out all the application and send it to the USCIS and advise them about your US address as well with a letter.

    Good Luck

    Hi mc2000,

You mean I cand do it while I am outside US by just mailing the documents? To which mailing address should I send my documents?

If I attend there personally, where should I go? Does it depend on the state in the US I intend to live in?

    Thanks

  4. Anyone can apply for a visitors visa. My wife and I applied together, and were denied. Rarely, they are approved and it only costs $135 or so to try.

    Our case:

She owned home and mortgage, still was working in Jakarta

We had not filed any petitions (130 or 129F) before we applied for visitors visa

The consul told us they are instructed specifically in spousal cases that being married to USC pre-empts any other ties to their home countries, and it didnt matter that she still had a mortgage and job, being married made her ties to US too strong. That was us, and if I were to go back I would still have tried.

That is OUR embassy, they are all different and I encourage you to try. Being denied visitors visa does not effect your case especially if you are honest about what you want.

    Hope that helps,

    David and Nitadyah

    Hi,

Thank you for your answers. David and and Nitadyah, if your hope about the entry date is true, you will enter 7 months after filing I-130 which I think is a good record, isn't it?

  5. Hello every body

I want to file I-130 to apply for K-3 visa for my wife. I have two questios about that:

#1.When I file I-130 and I am waiting for the process of K-3, can I apply for a visitor visa for my wife so that she can join me at least a few months?

#2.Can I leave the US after I-130 filing and do the paperwork from outside or by the aid of my friends in the US?

    Thanks
