hello VJs!
I made the relationship timeline of my CR1 case for HCMC. I fedexed it to my husband so that he could prepare for the interview, August 26th. I was wondering if ya'll would like to read it and possibly give me your opinions on what would be a red flag. I think this would really help us prepare for the interview. You could find the timeline on my profile page in the about me section. Word of warning, it's looooong.
thanks!
Hello
Your English skill is very wonderful to me. Just some thingking to you:
- Your timeline is so detail, but it is really difficult for someone to find something he or she needs to know. I think that you need to put outline for your story. In which, you state your timeline following a serries of paragraph title (for example: I-How we met the first time, II- Developing my relationship, III- Preparing for wedding)..The officers can be easy to see and find out the infomation they need to compare or to check.
- You need to state the address of Di 3 (dont forget the full name). This is very important.
- You need to tell something expressing that you and your guy preparing the future for both of you.
- Do not put some making up details in your story. Your buy might be asked anything in your timeline.
Good luck

There was a case which I knew one year ago. This case was denied and sent back to US. The husband took a trip to Vietnam, he made everything to make an appointment with a CO in HCMC. It was lucky that the time he got there, their packet was still not sent yet. He asked an appointment for an interview. His asked was approved by chief of HCMC. Both of them were interviewed sepearately. They prepared every evident very very carefull and showed proof of relation ship to CO very good. This couple was approved again. If you have a chance to visit HCM before your paket sent back, take every change to ask an appointment. It is not sure you are susscessful, but it is still a chance.

Ralphs, sorry to hear that, but I think this is really sucHs, and stupid. In a REAL relationship, nothing to do with Education background, or where I live? I think this is a dump question.
Everyone who will have an interview in HCMC need to be prepare every information about sponsor to benefitcary. CO will ask everything (at least information US citizen filled out on paperwork). In my wife's interview, CO asked about my education background and working place. I prepared them very carefully. I list here some questions which CO asked my wife about myself:
- your husband birthday, where he born?
- Who is he living with? my wife answered that I was living with my parent, they asked" are you sure?"
- The name of city I am living? describe it? how long has he been there?
- Name some interesting place which your husband visited
- How long and how far your husband drives to workplace
- Name of the company your husband work? where is it?
- What time your he drives to and from work?
- Is he still attending school?
- Did he graduate? what major, what degree? when my wife said about my education background. They asked why the major I studied different from the major I am working.
- Do you know name of supervisor of your husband?
- How much your husband salary? he got monthly or weekly pay?
- Did your husband tell you something about his saving? (they know exactly the answer because the information on paycheck stub said about the money deducted before take home monney!)
- Does he have sister or brother?
- Where is she living?
- Does she has kid?
- How old is he? do you visit them? how often? what do you play with her son?
Almost the information of the answes, they really have in my paper document I filled. I prepared for my wife everything. She answered very good, but she still got a blue slip. After she completed addition document required, she got another blue slip. And after 2 month waiting, we got pink slip. Now she is here. I hope some infomation help you prepare the inteview.

Hello,
My wife received exactly the same your blue slip after she submited all required paper in the first blue slip. We was waiting. About two month later, my wife got a letter form Consulate stated that they need to see her. Opp, they gave my wife the pink slip. Now, she is with me in United State. I am sure your case will be like mine.

My dad is US citizen. He opened file I-130 for my sister (over 21) in 2005. My sister divorced in 2003. She has a child. When my dad open I-130 file. The lawer said that my father only filled out I-130 for my sister and claiming her son in this I-130. Now my dad received the I-797C approve for this case. But only there is my sister's name on this paper. Can I ask my dad did the right thing for our case? And there is any trouble for her son? I am so worry about this.
Thank you.

The same situation happened to our case. We have to wait. M.E. said to me what he said to you.
-
In my case, I got blue slip. I submitted everything COs required, and now we are waiting for. I also call M.E, and his assistant (I think he is Nam) told me that, the best way, I need to waith some more month (2,3 month). If I dont hear anything form HCMC, I will hire them. So, I think we need to submit documents they requires, and hire lawer later.
-
Guy&HOa, I think your advice is very helpful. If I had known it before my wife interview, my wife might have got a pink slip. Now we have to wait and wait after submit required document.
-
Hello, VJ friends
I tried to call ME. He told me that now it is too early to hire him. Because I need to let COs have time to check and review document which we submitted. If after that time, I dont have any answers from Consulate, call him. What can I do in this time, just wait?. I will call Consulate, but I hear that it's hard to talk with CO. So, I think I will contact with Congressman and need an inquire, but when is the suit time to do that? This time is very terrible for me.
-
I just called ME. He said that I should wait about 2-3 month before hire him, because I need to let they (CO) have time to review and make some investigates information which we submitted. After that time, if we dont have any answer form Consulate, call him again. I hope I got the good advice from ME.

This afternoon, my wife submitted all doccument which the consulater office required. They gave my wife another blue slip. In this slip, it says that your case requires additional processing in our office, you dont need to submit futher documents. You will contact you when we have finished your case. My wife and I are very sad and worry now. Anyone has the same our situation? What can I do now or just wait?.
-
The consulate required that we have to give tthem the information: name, BOD, current address and proof for current adress of my ex-wife. It is so ridiculus. How can I contact with her and ask her the copy of her house hold's register book. I am so upset.
-
Yes, we got the same thing. How can you do your timeline so fast. Actually, I never do this when I made my application. That why I have to start to do that. I try to finish ASAP.

My wife got a blue slip. I was really upset and tired. I could not do anything yesterday. Now, I am trying to do a list of thing they listed in the blue slip: time-line, a list of relative, and a proof of current address of my ex-wife. I dont know I have how much change for my case. My wife was crying all last night after a long, hard interview. They asked my wife about 30-35 questions. These are some:
How you met together
How your husband propose
What his sister's name
Have you ever visit his sister
Have you stayed overnight with his sister
Do his siter have any children
What name (my sister's son)
What do you do in visiting his sister
What name of his ex-wife
Date of marrige
Date of dirvorce
Where is your husband working
How far from home
What time your husband work
Do your husband attend college
What school
Is he finished
How mayny time and when your husband visit you in Vietnam
Describe the city which your husband living.
My english is not good enough to translate exactly they asked my wife. My wife said that there was a Vietnamese girl was very rude. American office is a lady. She is nice.
I will post information about my case if I have something new. I hope I will have some change. Really I have a very bad feelling, but I know I have to go on.
Thank you for your supports.

If your husb answers yes when CO ask him whether he (or you) has any relative in US, you will need submit a list of those. You have to list full name, address, contact telephone, the time, the way and how to arrive US. You also include any proof of immigration and proof of resident (more detail better): driver licence, utilities bill, passport. Thinking and preparing carefully with your husb who will be in the list.
