  1. My fiance is a Korean citizen but lived in Canada for a couple years while attending university. She needs to get a police certificate from Canada for her interview at the embassy. We applied for K1 and just received NOA-2.

It's been a little unclear what exact form she needs to request, and it seems on the Canadian web page there are some pretty significant delays regarding police checks/certificates. If anyone has gone through this with Canada I would appreciate any help regarding the steps toward obtaining the correct police document.

    Thank you!

  2. I am a US citizen petitioning for my fiance to move to the US with me on the K1 visa. I currently live and work in my fiance's home country. I will be moving back to the US in a year, but I had a question regarding the I-134 document. I will be using a co sponsor because my international income isn't eligible to support my fiance at this time for the K1 visa. Do I need to complete a I-134 as well as my co sponsor? Will there need to be 2 of these documents? It seems I have confused myself reading different things online and would like the assistance of someone who knows better than myself.

    Thank you in advance!

@EmilyEC I think the bigger question is, how can you prove your domicile in the US for the purpose of K-1? I assume you are the US citizen and your spouse is the immigrant.

I am only on contract working here until December 2023. I have proof of my contract and I go home regularly, I will be home for two months from Novemeber to January to spend holidays with my family.

  4. My fiance and I are applying for the K1 visa, we both live in Seoul South Korea currently as I have a job here and we met here in Korea. I had a DUI when I was 19. I was able to get in contact with my lawyer and he sent me a copy of ORDER GRANTING EXPUNCTION OF CRIMINAL RECORDS. It has all of my information about the arrest and the records being expunged afterwards. At the bottom it has the signature of the presiding judge and it also has A CERTIFIED COPY ATTEST with the signatures of the county clerk and deputy. I can't physically go to the court because I am living in Korea and this occurred in the States. Is this copy that he emailed me going to be enough? I don't want to risk getting an RFE

    Thanks in advance!
