THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER STARTED ASKING US BASIC QUESTIONS LIKE NAMES & CURRENT ADDRESS WHILE LOOKING AT OUR DRIVER L. IF WE BOTH LIVED IN THE SAME PLACE WHICH WEVE BEEN SEPARATED FOR AT LEAST 1 YR. WE DID MAKE THE OFFICER AWARE THAT THERE IS A PENDING DIVORCE CURRENTLY ,ALL QUESTIONS WAS FOCUSED TO MY HUSBAND ABOUT DATE OF OUR MARRIAGES,WHERE & WHEN ,SAME THING WITH OUR PICTURES . THE OFFICER ASK MY HUSBAND ALSO WHY HIS WITH ME IF THERES A DIVORCE PENDING? HE JUST ANSWERED HIM BACK THAT THOUGH THINGS DIDNT WORK OUT FOR US ,WE DO STILL CARE FOR EACH OTHER ,HE DID A REVIEW AGAIN IN OUR PAPERWORk & TOLD ME THAT APPLICATION IS APPROVED & HE HAS NO QUESTIONS TO ME ,HE JUST SAID GOODLUCK TO ME & FILE FOR MY CITIZENSHIP SOON ..( IM SO GRATEFUL THAT HIS THE ONE WHO INTERVIEWED US ,HE COULD HAVE GIVE US A HARD TIME BUT THE INTERVIEW WENT REALLY SMOOTH). IF THERES ANY ADVICE I COULD GIVE TO PEOPLE THAT HAVE SIMILAR SITUATION TO ME IS ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH OTHERWISE IT WILL ALWAYS COME BACK TO YOU..THERE'S ALWAYS A LIGHT IN THE END OF THE TUNNEL:)

Yes julezabelle..what a great feeling and relief!!!..thanks Lis..we definitely won't forget to remove of conditions..so far, we are done at USCIS for about two years ..then after that,back to deal with them again and waiting game..but it is all worth it!! ..more approvals coming

Well everyone ShaSha arrived in the US on Friday and its been great. I drove to LA from Las Vegas to be with her at POE. I arrived at the airport and waited 2 1/2 hours for her to come out. Finally she came around the corner and it was such an amazing feeling of happiness to see her in the US, and I didnt have to look so funny holding roses for such a long time. We spent a few days in California to see Hollywood and go to Disneyland. It was great to see the cute faces she makes when she looks at things. She was like a little kid at Disney. She was amazed with the size of the drinks and the amount of food you get in the US when you order something. Not having to pay for a bottomless drink every american knows what I mean by that. Of all the places to eat we stopped at Chow King in California. We were driving and I looked over and there it was so we stopped. So much more to pay in the US. ShaSha couldnt believe we paid 21.00 US dollars for the 2 of us. The drive back from California to Las Vegas she was amazed with the mountains and the snow on top. Goodluck everyone and ShaSha and I would like to thank everyone for all the help we received.

Special thanks to Lotterly, you helped us so much. Remember ShaSha and I owe you dinner in Las Vegas so make sure you get Richard to visit Las Vegas.

I may be sensitive, but it REALLY bugs me when others persist in posting information they aren't sure about. I can understand if you're the only person responding, but when others have given the CORRECT advice, why would persist in saying stuff you obviously know nothing about???

It may bug you but that is not the reason for you to stop everybody else to share their opinion..we live on different state and sometimes different state have different rules..for example,getting the driver license..my husband, as K1 when he came, got his driver license without EAD or permanent residence card which is in other state, they have to had the EAD or permanent resident before getting the driver license..also, it is the person(who ask the question) responsibility to find out which one is correct and which one is the right thing to do for the opinions he/she is getting..what I am saying is just always make it sure and safe when it comes to this kind of business.. my husband and I don’t mind going back to SS office as many times as we want because SS office is just a mile away where we live and ain’t that busy..for some people here, their SS office is busy and full of people, but still, it is worth trying just to make sure rather than taking a risk..I am sorry I bug you..this is forum and everybody is welcome to their opinion as long as their language and what they are saying not contain explicit word or any kind of discrimination, and I don’t think I said things like that..peace!!

P.S..I need to dig on my husband paper works to share the letter we got from the SS office when we applied for his SSN..so that's where I got my information from!

for what I know , as soon you get your EAD, you have to go back to SS# to change your status...my advice is go back there and show your EAD card

That advice is incorrect. They won`t change the card wording until she gets her green card.

What I mean is, he/she needs to go back to SS office to show the work permit..i know they won't change the wording on the SSN card, but at least they can update that the applicant is legal to work in the US..

Now that I have my EAD..do I have to go to the social security office..and have them do something with my SS card?or is my SS# along with my EAD fine?being that my SS card..has that **not authorized without work permit** on it.
