  1. The last movie I saw in theaters was Black Swan. My thoughts? *Shudder*

LOVED that movie. Perfectly dark and yet tragic. Portman portrayed her role on point and clearly sent the message about the one thing she LOVED. :) Brilliant movie. Seen it like 13 times.

Killing Season ! With J Travolta and R De Niro. Fantastic flick! Travolta has the best Serbian accent. LOL

  2. Hey fellow Brit VJ'ers :)

I am going through a divorce and so, I want to go back to London for a while, like a year or so. My 10-yr GC doesn't expire until 2022. I have no US citizenship neither have I started the process yet but just wondered, if I decided to come back to the USA to live again next year, this wouldn't pose a problem would it?

    Yours,

    D

  3. Normally airline tickets should be in the name of your passport - in fact it's normally mandatory...

You can sometimes use your married name but would need marriage cert to back up, name change - it's an added hassle.

It's fine to travel on maiden name on ticket and with passport but reenter usa on your gc & passport even with the name difference.

Hey thanks for your reply :) It was a retarded Q lol.. even more so retarded that I checked my passport name after I posted this topic as I had it renewed recently and it has my married name on there...duh. Thank you for your input I normally don't ask such trivial/hard (sarcy) questions as these lol.. x

  4. Fvcking hell, Dor! Talk about two bad apples turning up again at once! I've just re-appeared here too 5 years on from the last journey's beginning! How are ya, luv?

Daymo love wow!!! How the hell are ya?? I just messaged nichnick about you and if she heard from ya!! 2 bad apples yeh lol!! I'm perfect how are you?? I'll PM ya xxx

  5. Now that we are nearing the end of the process at NVC it is time for me to start thinking about shipping my stuff to Texas. I'm not moving any furniture, just things I want to take to make what was his home our home, photos, books, CDS all that kind of thing. Just wondering if anyone had any experience of PSS International Removals??

I will allow myself to get excited once I have got myself organised

I haven't had a personal experience with PSS but they've been used many times by VJers on this site and they've been in business for 31 years.. they must be doing something right?! I would google 'good and bad reviews on PSS' then I guess take it from there. Sorry I wasn't much help..just reading different topics and thought since your topic was viewed a whole lot, thought I'd give my 5 cents :)

  6. Hi VJers.. its been a while since I've been here. I just needed a quick answer to a retarded question before I book my return ticket to London. So I am going to book the ticket under my married name which is on my GC but when I arrive in the UK, I will show them my British passport... aren't they going to see my ticket and see the married name verses whats on my passport?? Will I encounter problems ??

Sorry... its just that the ticket is a whooping $1002.54 and I need to make sure that I know what to expect..

    Thank you thank you,

    Dora

Sorry I didn't mention that my maiden name is on my British passport.

    Thanks,

  7. We were (Me and family) asked to appear for interview for the third time with new DS-230,Part 1 & 11, new medical,New PCC from passport office and with recent photographs at any working day at US Embassy New Delhi. We went there and the consular was very nice person, First of all he apologized for the

delay in processing in our case because of some system through which we have to go. At the end he told us that every thing is fine, we will not ask you for anything more, and every happening will be good now. We will get passports within few weeks.

When I checked the status of my case in the evening it says Issued and printed, will be mailed soon for Myself, my wife and for my daughter. For other two son it says Administrative processing. Will they send the visa for me,wife and daughter or wait to complete the processing of two son ?

    Masha'Allah!

  8. Hello my fellow VJers

I have a situation! Due to an unforutnate episode last night my car was broken into by some scumbags and the most important document were stolen. My British passport. I am in the process of moving so I kept everything in one place. Fortunately I have my WA drivers license, and my 10-year GC and my question was: is this sufficient enough to go on my planned vacation to Canada using my 10-year through road crossing from Blaine into Canada? I got a bad feeling it isn't... anything you can tell me will help! Thanks.

I think if it comes from you it's perfect. Having a separate sleeve for each document assists them to refer so easily and crating a table of contents is good. Sometimes being well organised helps towards the results you want! Even though we never had as many documents as you for the ROC package, we got the result we wanted because of my well organised wife :) The best of luck guys :)

"The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on March 28, 2012. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283."
