  1. We just got an email from uscis that our I-130 is approved. We are very excited. but they haven't approved our I-129F yet. I called USCIS and the customer service rep said that our I-129F is pending.

We filed our i-130 in Dec 23, 2007 and sent I-129F in February.

Have any of you had the same problem? I will appreciate any suggestion.

  2. Lurking,

Thanks for starting this thread. This definitely is helping us a lot. Just a quick question: Where did you get this data? Have they all posted in this forum? You mentioned that the following people got approved on 03/07/2008: Zank & Shers; Sibel & Muha; Paula & Mark; Mirjana & Brian. I never have seen their posts here. I am not doubting. I am just curious if there are another forum that I have missed.

I really appreciate where you are doing here.

  3. I just created a list of people who's i-130 have been approved recently. Please correct me if I have noted anything wrong.

  4. Guys,

Do you think we should do something to see if we can speed up the process? I am thinking to set a date and show up our senator's office together. I believe

this will be more effective than contacting them individually. I leave in Minnesota and I can arrange it for Minnesota. But if we can do it in some other cities that

will be more fruitful. Cities like LA or NYC will easily have more than 100 people who have been suffering for this mess. We will just do it in our own city.

When Microsoft needs a cheap software tester from oversees to save few dollars, they issue that visa in 72 hours. We are the citizen of this great nation. We

should not need to wait two years to get united with our family. It is a big human right violation.

I truly belive if we act together we can make a difference here.

Guys, throw any other ideas that you may have.

  5. I have started a tracking spreadsheet for those I-130 (sorry you I-129fers) filers who got caught in the USCIS delay, roughly August 2007 to present. You can find it here. It is also linked on the top right of my blog (link below).

I will try to update it as often as possible. Be forewarned, my husband is coming to visit next week and the updates will be slow in coming, if at all, as I will have better things to do during that time  but I will catch up when he goes home. :crying:

Delicia, Just want to thank you for creating this spread sheet. Please add my time line too:

    I-130

12-23-2007 (Chicago lock box receive date)

    02-04-2008 NOA1

Merk, resq39, dodson01, sharif did you receive NOA2 hardcopy? I am just curious if it was just a fluke or they really started processing aug/sep. I am really happy for you guys. It gives us hope.

    Thanks.

  6. Hi Guys,

I have noticed that most of you have sent I-130 and I-129F together. I sent my i-130 few days ago because in their web site it says I have to wait until I get NOA1 in order to file for I-129F. Did it change? Can I still file i-129 now?

I would really appreciate if someone could forward me the uscis newsletter that mentioned this new rule (filing together). I could not find it anywhere in their web site. It still says filing seperately.

  8. Hi Guys,

I am sending my i-130 application. I live in Minnesota and according to USCIS web site , I need to send it to Chicago.

    Effective December 3, 2007:

Petitioners who reside in AK, AZ, CA, CO, Guam, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MS, MT, Nebraska, NV, ND, OH, OR, SD, UT, WA, WI, or WY are encouraged to file their stand-alone Form I-130s with the Lockbox using the following address:

    USCIS

    P.O. Box 804625

    Chicago, IL 60680-1029

I heard from a lot of people that mails from this address returned back to the sender. I think USCIS did not create it right or they put a wrong address in the web site.

( The other states are fine - they have a different PO Box (P.O. Box 804616) for them. )

What should we do? I called few times to Nebraska Service center and they mentioned that they have nothing to do with it. Offcourse.

Any idea? have any of you ever faced this kind of situation?
