  1. wow your time line looks almost the same as ours did in 2008. We finally received and RFE in like July of 2009 for a medical, they said the form his was done on was expired, and like a week after submitted it we had card production ordered.

oh damn... i checked ur timeline.. it took u a year to get it all done..

it just dont make any sense to me. because theres ppl i know who needed a RFE too. and they got approved just in a few months..

if its gonna take a whole year for me to get my greencard.. itll feel like im wasting the most precious time of my life. :/

(im 20+ and i need to apply for schools here. i can do anything if i dont have my greencard.)

  2. as u can see in my timeline

our case got transfered to CSC the same day as the biometrics appointment

i got my AP and EAD on january which is 4 months ago

there is no update since then

its taking so long and im so worried...

so i have a few simple questions:

    1. how long after the biometrics appointment(or EAD's approval) did your greencard get approved?

    2. what does it mean if its taking too long?(theres problems with our case?) and what should we do?

    PS: heres our timeline

  3. happy thanks giving!

its been 15 days since we sent our package

checks still not cashed, no noa recieved either

    start getting really worried :(

Im still waiting the NOA, it's has been 18 days since I sent out AOS package

oh noes! 18 days is quite a long time. i know exactly how u feel. hugs to u

but i noticed they cashed ur check on 18th

check cashed usually means they accept ur case

i think u should be fine tho

it might be the dilivery problem

    i suggest u check ur mailman =]

Finally got my NOA today, with notice date 11/18, the same date they cashed the check. Dont know why it took

10 days for NOA to arrive, it supposed to arrive within 2 days according to the distance

    Gratz!!! =DDD

Now the spreadsheet should be up to date. I also included other november filers from the AOS from work, student, tourist thread. Please let me know for the updates.

    Have a good weekend. :)

Do you have a tracking number? Double check with your courier and see the status of your package. Hope you sort it out soon. Good luck!

teh thing is we dont have the tracking number

we gave the package to the staff in an ups store and they sent it as a regular package

cant get the track of the package now :(

i will check with my courier

i think they had a time off because of the thanksgiving+ black friday tho =P

ive been worried cuz i havent got noa1 yet. well ill just L2 be patient and hope i can get mine in 10 days too!

  7. theres a lot of ppl getting RFEs before their GC start processing even when their medical r not expired.

and ppl r getting RFEs for medical exam before the interviews too.

so i think ur medical exam should be valid till the interview.

the safest way is to get another full medical b4 sending in the application imo!

    its costly but safe =)

my medical is expired too. we r going to get another 1 together with the vaccins next week. =]

  8. hey i am a k1 visa holder too. heres how i got my SSN after a few weeks of my entry.

we first got married a few days after i arrived.

2 weeks later we recieved our marriage certificate.

then went to the closest social security office (in GA state)

bringing my passport and the papers we recieved from chinese consul on which it tells u the process after arriving US

i marked where it says i will have to apply for an SSN

and show the papers to the officer there

then after 1 week i recieved my SSN

the first social security office we went to turned us down, the officer told us to apply for the greencard first and blah-blah

i think these officers dont know a lot about the K1 visa process

u just have to show them the papers

i hope this will help u!
